Surrey Garage

I park my car 3 days a week for almost two weeks at 234 e 54th street surrey garage. manhattan.but on july 13 2009, I parked my car at morring 7am, when I pick up my car at 4pm, there was a damage on my car front bump. I told manage rafael cordere to claimed, but he blamed me that damage was there before i broght the car in, he was lie, and he told me go to complaint he don't care. then I call 911 , police come told me go to consumer complaint or call 311 to complaint and don't come to park at this garage. I did call 311 to file a complaint. so please if your have any damage from any garage call 311 and good luck . more

I do contract work and move around NYC A LOT finding different garages that I usually spend a month or two parking at until I move again. Surrey is my favorite. The first day I was asked if I wanted a wash. It was a great price for a handwash so I said yes. Upon my return my car was SPARKLING like the day I bought it. Best wash EVER. Then, (and this is the real kicker) a diamond necklace worth about 1k that I thought was lost forever was placed on my ashtray. I went back in and asked him where he found it. He said it was deep under a seat. He didn't even TELL me to try and get a tip or something- he just put it where I would see it and sent me on my way. How amazing. Most importantly and most helpful in terms of this review is the fact that my car comes up within 2 minutes or so of paying and the attendant pulls it into the street for me every time- which is awesome b/c sometimes I have some difficulty negotiating around pedestrians that are reluctant to stop walking for a second. I love this garage and no I am not affiliated with them in any way. I only saw this chance to review when I googled for their early bird hours. more

On April 3, 2009 I parked my car at the Surrey Garage at 234 E 54th St in Manhattan, had it inspected by the attendant on duty.When I came to pick up the car there was a huge damage on the passenger's side of the car. The garage attendant Rafael Cordere (IF it is his real name) claimed that I brought the car in this condition which was a lie. You could tell that the car was washed and scraped to make it look like the damage was already there. The damaged my car and blamed it on me. The other two workers were jumping and laughing at my face screaming"Go ahead, file a complaint!". They obviously had such incidents happened before and had a lot of fun with it. Please do yourself a favor. Do NOT park at the Surrey Garage at 234 E 54th St in NY. SPREAD the word, tell your friends, send e-mails to everyone you know warning them NOT to park there. Save them money, a lot of frustration and humiliation. more
