Best gym experience ever 9/12/2007

I don?t think there is a negative thing to say about this place!!! From the second I walked in the door I was treated like I was the #1 priority. There are a lot of things that go into a ""good"" health facility. If an extremely clean facility, an amazing personal training staff, excellent group exercise options, private massage rooms, and small, personal yoga classes is what you are looking for; then look no further. Also very reasonable pricing. TRULY A MUST JOIN!!! Pros: Experience & dedication of trainers, private, good pricing Cons: None! more

Total Butt Kicker! 7/18/2007

I have totally fallen out of shape after starting my ""desk"" job. Nate and Tim's boot camp class is a great way to get back in it! Be warned however, that you are going to be SORE! But it is worth it. ""No pain, No gain!"" The small class sizes insure that you get plenty of attention and the boys are very helpful. No matter what your physical level is, they will get you back to a new healthier you! One last thing: This is NOT a 24-hour fitness, or any thing close to that. Studio X is meant to be a personal training mecca, so if you want to go cruising for boys (or girls) this is not the place. If however, you want a program designed for you and lots of one on one attention, then Studio X rocks! Pros: Lots of one-on-one attention. Easy access to water and towels. Centraly located in the City. Cons: Parking can be tricky in the evenings. more

I Got WORKED OUT! 3/26/2007

I work out on a daily basis, it's part of my job. So I consider myself in pretty good shape. I have never liked the ""Gym"" atmosphere. I'm not a fan of flourescent lighting and I'm not into the meat market scene. Studio X is intimate, yet edgy, and just has an amazing energy about it. It's the first ""gym"" that I've felt comfortalbe in. I've had personal trainers before, but they never made me want to keep going. They didn't make me want more from myself. Tim's passion is inspiring and makes you want more, from yourself and him! You can tell he loves what he does and that it's truly genuine. I have only just begun my journey with Studio X and Tim, but I already know the road is endless. :) Pros: Service, Staff, Parking, Value Cons: Need more time to go more more

The Best 1/10/2007

I've been into fitness & going to the gym forever, have experience with other personal trainers, have taken every gym class...NOTHING compares to Studio X. The space is really cool in a total urban chic (but not pretentious) way, and working out there is awesome. Tim is amazing at what he does; his approach to fitness is totally wholistic, unique, fun, and inspiring. He teaches you to be strong ""from the inside out"" -not just cosmetically fit, but having muscles that move all directions with strength and agility....but, most importantly, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS!!! Tim has helped me overcome injuries and gotten me in the best shape of my life. He will forever be my Fitness Guru! more

A unique atmosphere - a unique approach to movement enhancement 12/28/2006

If you are looking for a large, impersonal gym with machines lined up row after row and instructors who don't know your name.... Studio X is not the place for you. Tim and his instructors offer one-on-one or small group sessions with a personally designed approach. The Studio is unique . From the time you enter the hall going to the back of what used to be a mattress factory, you know you are in for something totally different . Best way to start the weekend 12/28/2006

I would recommend Studio X fitness to anyone who wants to feel like a new person in regards to balance, flexibility, and strength. I was invited to attend the Saturday morning yoga class but I really didn't want to go. I wasn't into yoga, I thought. I have always been pretty flexible and strong, but since hitting the big ""50"" (a few years ago) I am not in as good of shape or as flexible as I used to be. The first session was surprising. Since I had never done yoga before, all the positions were new to me and a challenge which I liked. The instructor works with the class as a whole, yet gives individual instruction if needed. The atmosphere of the session is quiet and calm and yet the time seems to go by so fast that it is over before you know it. I left the first time feeling like a new person - relaxed, renewed, and energized. I haven't stopped going and each week I leave with the same feeling. Best Gym 12/5/2006

I came to Studio X after being injured in an automobile accident. I had gone through 16 months of rehabilitation with a physical therapist and it was reccommended that I begin strengthening again with a trainer. Not only did Tim guide me back to wellness in less than 9 months, but I continued working out with him and am now stronger than I was even before the accident. more

Best priced, private, one on one training 11/9/2006

I have been to various trainers over the years with different motivations. As a twenty something it was to gain muscle and bulk, as a thiry somthing it was to work on weight lifting techniques to correct bad form that caused a shoulder injury. Now in my forties I developed lower back pains, fat on my stomach and a sweet pair of love-handles(nice). Unique approach to fitness 11/6/2006

All the trainers embrace a whole body approach to fitness: None of the repititous, boring, unnatural exercises I've experienced at other gyms. The unassuming outside (a door next to a pizza shop) doesn't speak to the urban, modern decore inside. Exposed brick walls, graff-art, and a beautiful hard wood ceiling make working out a pleasure. I've gotten a massage (upstairs) as well and Tim does a good job screening who works out of his space, it was wonderful. I'm in the best shape I've ever been and I highly, HIGHLY recommend the studio. Pros: Decore, Trainers, Price Cons: N/A more

Completely different approach to exercise 11/5/2006

My experience with Tim and StudioX have been amazing. The space is great and the private sessions have made working out a much better experience for me. Tim's approach to exercise is really unique, focusing on exercises that make everyday movement more efficient rather than just sets and reps. Best Shape Ever 11/5/2006

I've worked out my whole life and since begining sessions at StudioX I am in the best shape I've EVER been in! My favorite aspect is that you get one on one attention in a private studio so no distractions and no feeling embarrassed. Rates are VERY reasonable and worth every penny. Focus is not just on working out but on nutrition as well. Tim is great about specifiying the workout to your level and abilities. I've had five trainers over the years and Tim is the best! If your looking to do something for yourself, look no further. The training gives a well rounded approach to loosing weight and feeling better from the core. I would highly recommended.
