I tried my first sushi at Sticky Rice and I haven't found any place better! The dining area is small and gets very crowded. And the attentiveness of the tatooed waitstaff can be hit or miss, but I can ignore it given the fantastic food. They are open for lunch during the week (close b/w lunch & dinner), and just dinner on the weekend. Either go early, or go prepared to wait. There are usually a ton of people milling/squished around the bar (or outside on the sidewalk) waiting for this yummy food. The atmosphere is eclectic and so is the food. They have sushi combinations unlike anything I've seen. Some of my favorites are tuna tempura (tuna, avocado & cream cheese roll fried in a thin tempura batter & topped with roe), godzirra (a huge shrimp tempura roll with cream cheese, sprinkled with fish roe, eel sauce and wasabi cream), and sticky balls (crab, salmon & tuna with spicy Srichara rice, fried and topped with eel sauce, wasabi cream and roe). The "regular" sushi is also great - I'm a big fan of the eel roll. Also, the noodle bowls are fantastic. And they are known for their "bucket of tots" appetizer (yes, tater tots). The prices are reasonable and the food is wonderful. There are even a few things for the picky eater (tuna steak sandwich or a burger, served with tater tots). Try it and you'll love it.
