Best

We held our wedding rehearsal dinner at Stella Maris and everything was perfect. The prices were extremely reasonable, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the restaurant it...

I just moved here and it's not my first time with Irish food. The food was ok...but no where near as good as my usual. the waiter was very slow (and it wasn't that crowded). I exp...

Bad Experiance 10/20/2007

Bad experiance, bad service, bad vibe, got sick. too expensive. arrogant service.....arrogant owners. bad food..double charged us and not a freindly place. my 3 year old can pour a better guinese than they do. nothing is good. more

Best Place Downtown 9/23/2007

The finacial districts best kept secret. The Steak Frites is mind blowing and the service is phenominal! Great quiet location is great for couples! Pros: FOOD & SERVICE more

Delicious way to finish the evening! 9/11/2007

Went there for the first time last night. We were a small party of five, and were seated promptly. We started off with fresh oysters, and other little appetizers. I had the arugula and broccoli soup. For entree I ordered the lamb dish, medium rare. It was lamb done right, I would highly recommend this dish. Lots of choices on the drink menu as well. Very nice decor and comfortable lighting. Definitely would go back there and try out the other dishes I missed. Pros: Friendly staff and very comfortable setting Cons: Maybe a little bit pricey more

Still one of my favorites 8/15/2007

Glad to see more and more restaurants are opening up in the Financial District and the Seaport area. I've been frequenting Stella Maris for the past few months now since moving this way downtown. Had regrets before but not now as downtown is growing and its much more sedate ... anyways on to the food ... Ecstatic that Stella Maris' chef decided to include fish 'n' chips on the menu, one of the best treats on the menu. Not a big burger fan, but tried theirs for the first time and liked it especially as it is a nice-sized portion. Pros: ""Comfort"" type food, just hits the spot after a hard day of work more

A great new addition to the neighborhood! 8/1/2007

Our office is right around the block from Stella Maris, so we go there a lot for lunch. It's great for a nice glass of wine and a light lunch. Their burgers look amazing, though I haven't tried them, and they have a really nice wine list. This is a wonderful little spot and the staff are really friendly and nice. more

New 5/26/2007

I went down to ?historic Front Street? Honestly I normally wouldn?t go down in this neighborhood, but I happened to be down there. This street, which is the new it place took over? now that the fish market is gone. The whole street has been renovated!!! It is absolutely lovely. You feel like you are in a little village somewhere in Maine or Cape Cod, only for one block!!! Anyways I meandered up and down the street and I finally decided to go into Stella Marris!!! From the second we walked in we were greeted and treated as if we were in someone?s home. Everyone from the host to the bartender to the bussers were beyond nice and pleasant. The food was fantastic and very reasonable, the signature drinks were outrageous, but most of all it was a memorable experience. Someone who would never go downtown.. I will go back! Pros: very hospitable more

Great Brunch in the New Seaport! 4/18/2007

My wife and I went to Stella Maris on the day it opened its doors for brunch a couple of weeks ago. We were very pleasantly surprised to find such a gem amongst the sub-par local eateries in the financial /seaport neighborhoods. The food was beautifully prepared and served piping hot. One of the owners explained that they try to use organic ingredients whenever possible and we could really taste the difference in the quality and taste of the food. Aside from the food, the wait staff is really friendly and very attentive. The decor is sleek and modern and very comfortable. I highly recommend Stella Maris. Stella! Pros: Food, Service, Decor, Great Seaport Restaurant more
