My daughter spent 14 years dancing for Stage Door. Competitive dancer for 4 of those years. The first year of competition was awesome. From there on, terrible. There was so much drama surrounding the owner, Sue Franks and the Northern Force dancers that it became almost laughable. Northern Force took most of Stage Doors talent with the split leaving the students of Stage Door with no teachers some nights. Sue, the owner quit competing at the same competitions that Northern Force was going to be at because she couldn't compete with the talent that they had. Then came the communication failure on the owers part. Most times you would call to speak to her, you were transferred to her voice mail. When you show up to speak to her face to face, she would not come out of the back, chosing instead to keep you waiting for hours. If I were to start all over again and can warn any other potential parents of new dancers wanting to dance there, I'd let them know that there is nothing but drama and an owner who should retire before the studio gets any worse of a reputation. The only thing that she is good at is patting herself on the back for a mediocre studio (at best).
