A small office that means business: no sales pressure, lots of information, and Dr. Briley takes the time you need to understand the procedures. I never feel rushed. I have been there for several treatments of Botox and the results have been great. Folks tell me I look rested and the natural look is exactly what I wanted. more

I don't think it can get any better than Southern Dermatology, the doctors, staff and many services offered.are awesome. I have been going to Southern Dermatology for over 5 years. Dr Briley is my first and only attending dermatologist. Not knowing where to go and fairly new to NC, they were my first choice when I knew I probably had a skin cancer on my back. It was cancerous and I have had many treatments since for actinic keratosis, precancerous lesions. Because of the traveling distance I have attempted to find a good doctor who would be closer to no avail. I didn't find anyone whom listened or would/could follow the treatment plan Dr Briley was following and I preferred given the alternatives. Long story shorter, I went back to Southern Dermatology and Dr Briley, never to stray again. I just don't think there is any better place to go. The doctors, staff and service is awesome. Most of all, through out my continuing treatment, Dr Briley always lays out my options and I along with her input make the decision as to what treatment to pursue. That is not the case with most doctors. more

I have only had one Fraxel treatment but I can already see a difference. I have Seborrheic dermatitis on my chin and nose and I have never found anything to relieve the itching and scaling. Along with the Fraxel treatment Dr. Boyse gave me a facial cleanser and moisturizer to try. Things are really looking better and I can not wait for my second treatment. Dr. Boyse has really been an answer to prayer. more

This is THE place to go if you want to treat yourself to skin enhancing treatments. The staff is most knowledgable and very pleasant to ask questions. I have had peels, lazer hair removal, and bought Latisse there. With each treatment or purchase, I have always been 100 percent happy. Southern Dermatology and Skin Renewal Center keeps me looking young and pretty. more

I became a patient at Southern Dermatology (formerly The Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center, PA) when my original doctor in Chapel Hill suggested I find someone closer to my home and work. I needed to have a skin condition addressed in urgent order. I searched around various online media and I came across Southern Dermatology. I called their office on Lake Boone Trail and asked if they were taking on new patients. The person that had answered said that they were. When I verified the type of insurance that I had, an appointment was scheduled for me. When I arrived at the office, I was greeted by the front desk person. After getting the obligatory paperwork out of the way and waiting for a short period in the waiting room, I was called in. The nurse asked me various questions to help determine my condition, etc. Then, after a short wait, Dr. Challgren walked in and introduced himself. He recommended the appropriate treatment and I have been under that treatment for the past six weeks. Since then, I have gotten to know nearly the entire staff and I can vouch that these are some of the nicest and most professional individuals that I have met. I would highly recommend this practice for their ability to address even the most complex dermatological issues. My experience has been excellent! more

My son saw Dr. Challgren for multiple warts on his right foot. The beetle juice treatment was recommended and performed. I do have to say the pain and difficulties of the blistering were way more intense than we expected, but we are so thankful that the treatment actually worked! His warts are totally gone, with one treatment!! So thankful!! more

I have fairly severe psoriasis. I went to Cary Dermatology and they were awful. I thought the name ""Robert Johnson"" was awesome, but he told me that he couldn't help me if I wouldn't allow myself to get my medicine to work even though I had allergic reactions. He actually said, ""If you don't want to keep taking Humira, I can't help you."" My skin went bright red, it felt like a million pins in my skin. This place is much more accepting. The doctors seem to have their stuff together much more than normal. I'm not sure if the light treatment is going to work, but this place is willing to actually try. I sat in a waiting room with a bunch of old timers and saw my doctor walking around outside talking into a voice recorder. That made me happy. It makes you believe that she takes he profession seriously. more

Angie is the best. She really knows skin care and was able to recommend the best treatments to meet my goals. more
