Very Impressed 11/29/2011

After reading the reviews for Dr Boyse I almost canceled my appointment. I'm glad I didn't.\r The whole experience was pleasant. It was very easy to check in, the staff was very helpful.\r \r When the nurse called my name I was still a little nervous. The nurse was very pleasant. She asked me some questions about what I do for my acne. She was very nice. I was less nervous after speaking to her. Dr Boyse came in the room and reviewed my routine and diet. She really explained what causes acne and how to treat it. She gave me some great suggestions.\r \r After she left Nichole went over my new medications again, made sure I understood it. She even gave me samples!\r I told her that I have tried so many things in the past and was really hoping this works. She shared that she also has acne and how important it is to stick with a routine. It was reassuring to hear her tell me this. Her skin is flawless. \r \r It has been a little over 2 months since that visit. I'm happy to say that my face is clear. I never thought it was possible to go in public without makeup. I will reccomend Dr Boyse too all my friends. more

Waited over an hour for a 10 minute appt. 4/25/2011

I rushed to make my appointment on time only to be sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes past my appointment time. After saying something to the front desk they miraculously called me back 2 minutes later. I then sat with only a paper robe on (went for a total body mole check) for another 20 minutes. I was about to leave when in came the doctor. Not sure if i will go back. I respect their time, too bad they don't respect anyone else's. more

Best doctors office visit ever!! 10/30/2010

From check in to check out the whole staff and experience was truly the best I have encountered yet. Everyone made me feel like I was their # 1 priority at that time. Believe me I know this is extremely hard to do since I am in the medical field and we are taking care of multiple patients, managing the doc, multitasking, and doing this all with a pleasant non rushed attitude! Cudos to the nursing staff. I had a thorough exam, multiple concerns were addressed, and the doctor even connected to me on a personal level! Don' t blame the doctor for what you consider a rushed visit if you drag out your info and symptoms or come to the office unprepared. For others who get charged for missed appointments oh well :( You are an adult, be accountable for yourselves. You pay for missed hair, dentist, massage, appointments why not doctors? Other patients could have used that appointment! This office can take care of all your medical concerns to your cosmetic desires! They are great with botox and I love my filler!!! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE more

Dr. Boyse is too rushed 9/23/2010

I visited Dr. Boyse with a few skin concerns I wanted to discuss. When I made the appointment I told the receptionist there were several issues I would need to discuss at the appointment. When Dr. Boyse came in she glanced at me for about one second and diagnosed the ""main"" issue, wrote a prescription and started to leave. I told her I had other questions. She was literally slowly walking backwards towards the door as I quickly rushed through my other concerns before she made her escape. She ansered each of my questions very briefly. In all I spent less than 10 minutes with her before she rushed out of the room. Also, she gave me very little information on my diagnosis so after the appointment I had to go on the internet to find additional information (and there were things there that would have been good to have been told). The only reason I give two stars is that I think I got an accurate diagnosis for my one condidtion and I think she is probably pretty knowledgeable. Too bad she does not have time to speak with her patients. more

Dr. Boyse 7/6/2010

I was impressed by how fast I was admitted to see Dr. Boyse. However the nurse that asked the initial questions seemed unconcerned about what I was telling her. Dr. Boyse then walks in and asks to look at my scalp and says ""see this is typical with African Americans"" and tells me it is due to the relaxers, perms, hair designs that we use. I left the office in tears. She suggested alopecia. The question I ask is why is it that she along with other dermatologist I've seen in the past never bother to get a scalp biopsy to see if it could possibly be another cause. I know that this is not mostly a ""black person thing"". Do other races have alopecia induced by hair care or primarily my race. A little disappointed because I read a review about her after I scheduled an appointment with her and it was negative. I should have went with that instead of giving her the benefit of the doubt. Pros: Quickly seen Cons: Quickly discharged more

Dr. Briley is the best 7/6/2010

I have been to 2 other dermatology offices and this is the third and the BEST one!!! Dr. Briley is very caring and gentle. She has the best smile and is geniune. If you need to see a dermatologist I would highly recommed her. Pros: very caring nurses and Dr. Briley more

Wonderful, professional people 4/13/2010

I've been with Dr. Wilmoth for over 10 years and have had numerous issues with skin cancer. He has always been compassionate and professional. I've recommended him to a number of friends and they all have been treated well and have positive comments regarding the practice. It's amazing to me that he could get so many negative reviews! \r \r There was a short period of time that I didn't have medical insurance and Dr. Wilmoth was willing to work with me regarding payment. He listens to concerns and calms fears. I see him every six months for a cancer screening and know when I leave that I have had the best of care.\r \r He may be considered ""cold"" to some, but he knows his business and that's what is important to me. Pros: Two offices: Lake Boone and Durant more

Excellent Dr. and Associates 3/11/2010

I also was a patient of Dr. Miller. I went to another Dr. when Dr. Miller had some health problems. As I was planning to go out of town on a weekday, I had two small places on my face start bleeding and could not get them to stop. I went by my regular dermatologist and he wouldn't work me in. Rather than go to the emergency room, I stopped by Dr. Wilmoth's office and he not only saw me but stopped the bleeding by removing both spots which did turn out to be cancerous. This was quite a few years ago and I have had nothing but excellent service from Dr. Wilmoth and his staff since then. \r \r Pros: Knowledge, treatment, attention more

My entire family uses this practice - they're the best! 12/19/2009

My family was introduced to this practice years ago when our daughter was in college and had issues with acne. We were so impressed with Tracy - she was concerned, thorough and professional. Always took time to catch up with us before each visit and seemed very sincere. Each family member has since seen Tracy - our son, my husband and myself. We've always been seen on time, treated courteously by the staff and thoroughly by Tracy. We highly recommend this practice. As a matter of fact, I'll be making an appointment to see Tracy this week! more

You won't believe this!!! 3/25/2009

I was referred to this office by my Allergist for a skin biopsy. The staff was pleasant enough. I had an appointment scheduled to return for suture removal at no charge. I completely forgot about my appointment. No reminder call or anything like that. I got a letter from the Office Manager saying that I had missed my appointment and I needed to call and reschedule. So I call to reschedule. I was informed by the secretary that my ""account has been flagged"" and I have to pay a $25.00 fee for not keeping my previous appointment (for which there would have been no charge for anyway). So here I am, with SUTURES IN MY LEG and they will not reschedule my appointment until I pay $25.00. Boy, talk about a liability! I call that abandonment. I took the suture out myself. If this is how they treat their patients, I don't want to be one. Cons: either very poor management or uncaring docs... more

Highly recommend! 1/4/2009

Wow! I misplaced my phone book so looked up Dr Wilmoth online to get the number, and I am ever surprised at some of these reviews!! I've been to the Center since it was Miller Dermatology...my father was even a patient of Dr Miller. Not once have I been treated with anything but kindness by any member of the staff. Dr Wilmoth is a very competent and knowledgable physician. He's ""professional"" and that may come across as cold to some, but as a RN I can tell you I'd much rather have a doctor that KNOWS what he's doing than one who holds my hold. Bedside manner does not a doctor make. I have an appointment in two weeks and I look forward to a productive professional experience. Pros: Professional staff...knowledgable physicians...excellent results more

Third visit, no negatives yet... 8/19/2008

When I first went to this practice approximately 2 years ago, there was only one negative review out of about nine total. Then and now, it seems people either love (5 stars) or hate (1 star) the practice, there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. \r My experience has been solely with Cloninger, her staff, and the front desk staff. I have nothing but positive remarks. For instance... two of my four appointments, I was taken a few minutes early; on a delicate issue, everyone was dismissed tactfully except for Cloninger and I; discussion of issues and cathing up with each other were done but there is little chit-chat just to chit-chat ( which I like, it's a dermatology not a psych office ); new issues, though not stated while making my appointment, were discussed, diagnosed, and treated; and the front desk has always been helpful scheduling my appointments and answering my questions when I lost my appointment cards ( I know, an adult should be able to keep up with their appointments. :-D )\r I do not mean to minimize other patient's feelings and concerns, but I have had none of the negative experiences listed in citysearch and were slightly shocked when reading them. Pros: Tactful, on-time appointments, to the point. Cons: None to date more

Botox not expired 6/15/2008

I'm not here to rate the practice, but I wanted to correct another user. The date that is hand-written on a vial of botox does not indicate the date it expires (that is type-written). It is used to note when it was placed in storage, and is good for 2 years if kept frozen. If it was mixed in front of you (the saline was injected into the bottle), then it was done correctly. more

Truly surprised 6/5/2008

Sorry that others have had such experiences at this office. I know they try very hard to help a lot of people. more

Never would have thought it... 5/28/2008

My husband has suffered from chronic uticaria for a year. Because we didn't have health insurance until this month, he has ""sucked it up"".\r \r On May 6, we had to visit urgent care, who referred us to this clinic. Our appt was at 2:10, and we prepared a journal documenting the problem, photos, and a long list of questions. My husband also is plagued by two other skin issues that we needed to discuss with the doctor. (We'd also discussed them at urgent care).\r \r At 2:55 (45 minutes past our appointment) we were still sitting in the waiting area. When the nurse called us back, we discussed his 3 skin issues. \r \r The doctor entered several minutes later (I'd estimate at 3:10) and was very kind. She was, as all doctors are, a bit rushed. However, since we had waited for an hour (and a whole year to have insurance), we expected to receive thorough treatment.\r \r She discusses the chronic uticaria, though declined to view the pictures, because she ""already knows what it looks like"". However, we did not describe the body parts, appearance, nor pain/itch level. How did she know that it was uticaria (other than that was the diagnosis at urgent care)? \r \r She began to wrap up, and I asked her if she was leaving, because we had two more issues. She said she was leaving, and looked quite distressed as we basically forced her to look at our 2nd issue. With one glance and 2 questions, she wrote out another prescription for the 2nd issue. She did not address the purpose/use of this medicine.\r \r She said good-bye & we basically forced her to look at my husband's 3rd issue. She looked at me and noted that he has yet a 3rd skin condition, but said, ""time has run out"" (which she'd said several times at this point). She instructed us to make another appointment, because she didn't have time.\r \r We were charged for a 99203, which is a detailed visit of 30 minutes in length. We waited an hour for ten minutes of poor treatment. This is the worst treatment that I've ever received. Cons: Long wait time, short office time, inattentive doctor, poor service more

unbelievable 5/6/2008

My husband has been there at least 4 times in the past 5 weeks because of a ulcer that needed to be biopsied. Besides wrong instructions on care, not letting us know he'd be out of work for over 5 weeks, and not prescribing pain pills on a wound 3 inches by 2 inches, the nurse today dressed his wound with the dirty gauze he came in with. We will never use them again. more

Unfriendly staff 5/6/2008

Front desk staff are not nice at all. I made an appointment at two weeks ago, I did not receive the reminder phone call. I called them to comfirm the appointment at two hours before the appointment time, I was told I missed the appointment. I am sure they made the mistake, they messed up my schedule. The front desk staff is not friendly at all. I am very glad I ""missed"" the appointment. Pros: Unfriendly staff Cons: Poor communication more

knowledgable and very caring doctors 5/1/2008

I do not know what TerryM is talking about. My mother-in-law had a skin exam by a kind and friendly doctor. The doctor found a concerning mole and did a biopsy. We were called by her doctor the next day and she had a diagnosis of a malignant melanoma. She was quickly worked into the doctor's schedule and had an easy experience with her sugery. The entire staff was helpful and understanding when we had questions or needed extra help. The doctor even gave us her phone number in case we had any questions. We were very worried, but all her care has been professional and exceptionally caring. We highly recommend this practice and feel like the doctor saved the life of our family member. Pros: knowledgable, kind, caring more

poor judgment and dangerous medications 12/17/2007

I first went to this practice for a basic skin check. The doctor(who I later found out was subbing for another doctor in the practice) said I had a suspicious mole which she biopsied. She called me two days later and told me I had a malignant melenoma which needed to be removed immediately.Naturally I was terrified and made an appointment the next week. The doctor said it would be an office visit and I could drive myself and be back and work the next day and healed within a month. I decided to be safe and had a friend drive which was wise because the procedure took two hours and the local anesthetic made me dizzy. The next day I could barely sit up and when I called, the nurse said it was impossible for me to be having aftereffects from a local anesthetic and I should call my ""regular doctor"". These symptoms lasted 4 days and I got no help from anyone in the practice. The wound became infected and the antibiotic cream made it worse. I saw every doctor in the practice for months from complications from the surgery and bad reactions to medications. None of the doctors and nurses were willing to listen when I tried to tell them of my sensitivity to medications. They seem far more interested in pushing cosmetic surgery than in treating patients with skin diseases. When I described my ordeal to my internist, he was shocked at the treatment I received. Money is definitely the top priority of this practice. Everyone looks like they should be television doctors but patient treatment is seriously lacking. Pros: nice furniture Cons: doctors and nurses are inept and uncaring more

Excellent care by Dr. Challgren 10/18/2007

I was impressed by Dr. Challgren's professional demeanor and thoroughness. My visit was for an overall skin check just to be certain that I had no beginnings of a melanoma or anything else serious. He was very patient and glad to answer my questions. I also asked about mole and age spot removal, and he did not in any way try to ""sell"" me additional services. I truly admired is objectivity. Also, a small mistake was made with the filing of my insurance claim. When I called and brought it to Jan's attention, she was happy to make the corrections. This practice has won my loyalty. more
