We transferred our dogs' records to South Anderson a couple yrs. ago, after Dr. Berger (R.I.P.) fell ill & retired. South Anderson Vet Clinic has no regard for anything but your cash, & wastes an entire afternoon waiting for service. We have (4) dachshunds, 3 are rescues, & they give us absolutely NO break on prices for rescuing animals - plus, the front desk workers are rude & have little knowledge of medications. Our oldest mini-doxie recently needed a med for elevated liver enzymes, & the RX simply read to administer 2x per day, so I gave her equal parts 2x per day, with her meals. After web-searching, I found instructions that said it NEEDED to be given after fasting. I asked the front desk ""help"", who replied that the dr. wasn't in, & it didn't MATTER when it was given. After the 3rd round of the med, our doxie was supposed to have a liver panel done (which we asked for), but she was given a $130 FULL chem/CBC (not needed) & the dr. said that the results of the liver med weren't as good as expected...due to the COMPLETELY WRONG med instructions (it is to be given in the AM, an hour before any meal, which we are now doing)!! These people are after your money, only - especially if you love your animals & the personnel know that you will spend what is needed to keep them healthy. We've noticed that they are not nearly as busy as when we first started bringing our dogs here, now we know why. We will be transferring our pets to another vet clinic ASAP, avoid this place like the plague!
