OFAM & More 12/19/2005

When the new Federal Courthouse is completed, the Shedd Institute will no longer be located at the edge of the Eugene downtown center, but along what the community hopes will be a strong new business corridor. The Shedd is housed in an old church and recent upgrades include a welcome air conditioning system. The Shedd is a venue that allows world-class artists a quality performance location that is smaller than the nearby Hult Center. Recent performance schedules included Rickie Lee Jones, Chick Corea, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Philip Glass, Kathy Mattea, Judy Collins, and The Chieftans. The Shedd is also home to OFAM - Oregon Festival of American Music. This a long-time, highlighted event in Eugene that draws thousands of attendees each year. more
