Shatto Banquet Hall

Shatto Banquet Hall is a surprisingly beautiful venue in the heart of south central Los Angeles. I gave my mother a surprise 75th birthday party and she and all her friend commented throughout the evening how beautiful the facility is. It also has an outdoor covered patio out back, a full bar, nice restrooms, dance floor and a lighted trellis over a heart-shaped cake table. I would defintely recommend the Shatto Banquet Hall for any memorable special ocassion! more

I like to thank the Shatto?s Banquet Hall party planner and all of their employee?s for all of their hard worked at my Retirement party I gave in May. The employee were fabulous and they were very professional. more

I am a very sane and sensible person! With that being said, I just want to warn anyone about the lady on the other end of the call i tried to place for service. In all my life I have never encountered such rude service. I was cursed out because I asked her a question. She answered the phone ""hello"" and I said ""Hi, is this a business?"" She said very rudely why in the hell would you ask me if this is a business"" I said, because you answered hello instead of by the business name. I then apologized. She then began telling someone in the background that I asked her if this was a business, I tried to explain why I asked and she went off!!! I mean really went off....This was so unprofessional, I couldn't even stay offended I realized that the business must be suffering because surely the lady is sick....I'm praying for the sister. I really do wish her well and the business success. more

I tried to do business but she wanted straight cash and no receipt. NO THANKS. She refused money order, check, cashier checks and anything elese legal more

I can't believe the kind of customer service I just received on the phone trying to make reservation for a future 50th birthday party... I literally got cursed out by a woman who doesn't know me... I hope she is not the owner and if she is not, I feel sorry for the owner.. People are trying to book this place for venues and they're running into a complete idiot on the other line...I will be calling the City Hall and file a formal complaint because of course they do have a license (?) and I have a right to a descent coversation (?)... If you run into this problem... EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS--CALL CITY HALL AND FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT.... more

I called to find out information about this place and the lady was very rude! I asked her for her prices and she very rudly responded with, "Well I don't know what my prices will be two years for now." I then asked her what her prices were now and she replied, " I'm on a long distant phone call." How rude. Even if I did like the place, I wouldn't want to work with someone like that. more

I had my wedding reception at this location, when it was called The Ashton Shatto. The location was nice and large enough for all my guests. The new owner has done some renovations and the price has went up, but it is very nice. more
