My mom has been getting her hair done from Shanna for a while. I have graduation photos coming up and the place I usually get my hair cut closed so she recommended I see Shanna. What a great job and a very new look for me! I gave her a general idea of what I wanted and she did the rest. It looks great. Highly recommended . more

Shanna came highly?no?VERY highly recommended by several of my friends, and after seeing the amazing job she did for the bride and bridal party at a wedding I recently attended, I knew I wanted a turn in her chair. I knew going there that she was good...but I was still amazed at just how much I loved my new cut. She knew just how to cut it, style it and what products to use to give it the exact look I wanted. She even took the time to show me how to style it myself at home using the hair dryer and round brush. I am SO thrilled that I finally found a stylist that listens to what I want, knows how to get the look I'm after and then puts an extra special something in there that makes you LOVE your hair again! I already booked my second appointment. She's a very talented stylist and it's obvious that she loves what she does. It was a pleasure and I can't wait to do it again! Thank you Shanna!!!!! Pros: Great place, great stylist, great personality...all around fantastic experience. Cons: Can't think of one thing more

Best hair stylist! I'm loving my hair!! 4/4/2008

As soon as I walked in the salon, she only took a glance at me and already knew what to do with my hair. She is such a sweet girl, I feel so comfortable the whole time she cut my hair. And, she knows how to gain trust from customer. It took me so long to decide to cut my hair short after having it so long for years. She is definitely my number one stylist in Austin for sure. And, I am still getting compliments on my hair. more

Since moving to Austin a few months ago, I've struggled to find someone who ""gets"" my hair. What I found with Shanna is that she really listened to me and took the time to make sure I was happy as the cut was taking place. She didn't wait for me to potentially have a problem with something she was doing and then just walk out the door unhappy. She made sure I was comfortable with it as we went along. The end result was a cut that finally pleased me after three attempts at other salons of a similar level of quality. Pros: Prompt, friendly, competent, good listener, fun more

lovely person, amazingly talented stylist 3/28/2008

I got tired of my very short hair and had the questionable idea about getting extensions. I looked online and found Shanna, and gave her a call. She was warm and friendly right away, took her time answering my questions and after meeting her for the consultation, I felt even more positive about it. The salon itself was homey, cozy and comfortable, and the other stylists were friendly as well. Shanna did my extensions, cut and color, and I am very happy. It's been a week and I have had sooo many positive comments about how natural looking, nice, and pretty it is. I am very happy to have found a salon where I feel welcome and not like just another customer-that is such a huge part the whole experience for me. Not only is Shanna down-to-earth, personable and kind, she is a professional who you can tell loves her work, and I highly recommend her. Thank you Shanna! more

Not worth it... 3/18/2008

After reading all the great reviews about the service, products and staff I wanted to finally find my stylist. I ended up being very disappointed with the results and I did give it another try only to feel more disapointed. I got an average haircut and color. The cut was simple and the blowout was flat. The color was blotchy and faded within 2 weeks. My stylist was not friendly or open to my comments. So I'm still looking for a beauty salon! Shanna did such a wonderful job to my hair. i came in skeptical but she gave me a fabulous haircut and color. I've never felt so comfortable with a hairstylisht than I did with her. She will work with you and provide her opinions on what would look best for you but at the same time, she takes into account what you would like done to your hair. She's also very sweet!!! GO TO HER. YOU WON'T REGRET IT. Pros: everything!! Cons: none! more

Great cut and color 2/18/2008

I just started going to Shanna a few months ago and I could not be happier with my cut and color. I love the color that she has created for me. It is a lot like my natural color before I started getting gray hair on top. I don't have to do much to my hair after I wash it because the cut fits my hair and lifestyle. I am very happy with Shanna doing my hair. more

I went in to see Shanna last week because a few months ago i let a friend of mine cut my hair. it was a nightmare!! When i first met Shanna, she was extremely friendly and made me feel confident to let her cut my butchered hair. She left my hair looking AMAZING and i have gotten so many complements. Great Colorist 1/23/2008

I was really unhappy with my first-time color (highlights) but Shanna brought my hair back to its original color-and it was so shiny and healthy-looking! She trimmed my layers up without taking too much off my curls, and made sure I liked the color when it was dry-letting me know we could tweak it if needed. She is so personable and easy to talk to-and I'm DEFINITELY going back to her when the color needs a touch-up. Go to Shanna-you won't be disappointed! Great, long lasting cut 12/8/2007

I went to Shanna about two months ago and she did a great job with my color and cut. She was very happy to give advice about how to handle my hair on my own. I found this to be extremely helpful since I have thick, curly and dry hair that I wear both straight and curly. Two months later I still love my cut and color and I still get compliments on it! Pros: Great advice and the cut lasts a long time more

I had my first appointment with Shanna yesterday for highlights and a cut and I couldn't be happier. When I first sat down, she told me about her vision for my hair. It was EXACTLY what I was thinking. It's nice to know that we were on the same page. She was fun and easy to talk to. My color turned out awesome and the cut was fabulous! I have recieved many compliments so far and everyone wanted to know who did my hair. I have never been happier leaving a salon. From now on, I won't let anyone but Shanna do my hair. She is the best! more

Shanna is great! 11/27/2007

Shanna has been cutting my hair for several years now. Everytime I leave the salon, I get so many compliments. She really listens to what I want, and is very patient when I am not ready to try something new. However, she gives lots of great ideas/tips, and she always explains what she is doing every step of the way. One day soon, I am going to be ready for the haircolor she has suggested. I have no doubt that when I take the plunge, it will look great. Thanks, Shanna! more

Great for Changing Styles 11/16/2007

I went to Shanna wanting to change my tired long blonde hair, and I'm so happy with my new cut/color. We went for a brunette/auburn color and it turned out fantastic. Shanna gave me a great cut for my face shape, and this is the best color I think that I've had. more
