I purchased used car from Schaumburg Honda, a 2003 Lexus RX300. Two days later the check engine light and VSC lights go on, the RPMs on the car were skyrocketing. I took the car back to them and after testing it they said it's the knock sensors. They had the nerves to tell me that it's gonna cost me $850 with their dealer discount. Please don't buy cars from them, they are crooks. I took my car to another mechanic and they charged me $650 to replace the 2 knock sensor with OEM ones. more

If there were an option to give 0 stars I would! A few years ago my wife and I went to buy a Honda Odyssey. The dealership had several vans in the color that we wanted. We choose one (which was a bit dirty) and went in to sign the paperwork to complete the deal. While we were inside, the van was cleaned up. When we went outside to look the van over we noticed some issues now that it was clean. There were dents in some of the chrome window trim and scratches on the hood. We told the salesman (Scott Carson) that we were not happy with the van. He told us he would have the van buffed. We also asked that he replace the dented trim. When he found out that the cost to replace the trim was 300 to 700 dollars he told us no and tried to convince us that it was no big deal. We told him we were no longer interested. I am a single mom who was in dire need of a newer affordable car for my son and me. Scott Carson yesterday was so patient and kind and has excellent people skills and cares about families. I was driving already a 98 honda civic and I purchased a new one yesterday in Schaumburg a 2011 model. He helped my dad feel great Scott doesnt know but my dad is not very good health wise and he made my dad feel great yesterday. Scott and the Honda team especially the guys who washed my new car before I test drove it deserves the best feedback. Even the finanace guy was awesome.. the payments are so affordable. I would shop in the near future at Honda and with Scott Carson team and the finance team also. more

I Recently bought a brand new 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring model. They were willing to give me savings even though there was a three week wait. This is my second Odyssey I have purchased but my first one from Schaumburg Honda. I was very happy with everyone here. The service I received was top notch. Never Reserve a Vehicle That's Not on the Lot! 7/22/2010

I reserved a 2010 Honda Fit with Bob Rohrman's Schaumburg Honda. We decided on a price and I gave them a $500 deposit until the car came in which was supposed to be a week later. The afternoon before I was supposed to receive the vehicle my salesperson called me up and told me that they were not getting the correct vehicle. They said the best that they could do was get one with "a few hundred miles" or I would have to wait another 6-8 weeks because the car was so hard to find. I canceled my order with them and within three days later I found at least two dealerships in the area that were able to get the exact car I was looking for with no trouble at all and for the exact same price. I did not appreciate being told stories about how rare of a car this was, obviously it's not if other dealers had no problem whatsoever acquiring one. more

The worst service I have ever got as a customer. Before buying new CRV - I confirmed with the sales person - about service. She told it will be at par with Toyota (I shared that I am getting excellent service from Schaumburg Toyota)...And the service I am getting from Honda is like Sh.....! no where near to any other auto service...The worst I would say never ever look at Schaumburg Honda... more

Go ANY place Else 11/15/2009

The salesman treated me like a passing number, as if he was waiting for someone else to drive by on Golf Road and take my place. Told numerous lies, like the price I was being quoted at Grand Honda would never materialize. That's what you think Schaumburg Honda, get with the program. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. This truly is the worst car buying experience I have been through in the last 40 years. If you are a bonehead then this is your place to shop, they will tell you anything to sell a car and could care less about you or your wallet. more

Horrible experience!! Customer Service nightmare! 8/14/2009

I am in absolute disbelief in the poor customer service I received from Ryan Rohrman. Not only was he unprofessional, he was beyond rude. I purchased a used car from the dealership less than a year ago. The salesman answered all my questions assuring me that the car was in good condition. This turned out to be untrue. There were features on the car that were said to be readily working. Only to find out that they were not working at all. I went in to talk to Ryan Rohrman to explain the issues.I sat down and told him the situation. His responses require me to say that, as a customer, I have never in my life been treated so poorly. With phrases such as, "hey..you bought a used car" or "I could have sold you a car with bald tires and I still wouldn't do anything for you" and the conclusion. "I am not doing anything for you, go talk to someone else". I am a firm believer in choosing your words very carefully, especially when you are speaking with someone you do not know. No Business Ethics! False Advertising = Bait and Switch 6/6/2009

Pure SCUM!! Go elsewhere no matter what low price they quote you or advertise on the Internet. It is a head fake to get you in the door and pressure you. They made us drive over an hour to them only to find out that they no longer had the car we had set up to purchase. What is even more upsetting is that they had faxed us a purchase order only hours before and said they would not sell the car before we arrived. They have no honor and simply don't care about their customers. This dealership is run by one of the children of Bob Rohrman who gives all car dealers a bad name! The owners son Ryan Rohrman the GM and John Shung the sales manager are a sad representation of Management! If Ryan Rohrman was not the son of Bob Rohrman he would not be a GM, let alone get a job at Mcdonalds. Do not waste your time at this dealership, avoid them at all costs! more

Buyer Beware! 5/11/2009

In June of 2007, we purchased a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT with 61,000 miles from Schaumburg Honda after the salesperson showed us the clean Carfax report and described the Dealerships inspection of every vehicle that comes into their lot and their only selling reliable used cars. \r \r We purchased mechanical breakdown coverage for this vehicle and were told it would pay the listed repairs for a time period of 3 years or 36,000 miles.\r \r In October of 2008 we needed to have the transmission replaced (warranty company would only pay for a used transmission), In February of 2008 the lift gate needed to be replaced (not covered), in March of 2008 we needed the axle seals repaired, in June of 2008 the alternator and water pump needed to be replaced, in November of 2008 the flywheel needed to be replaced and now in May of 2009 the flywheel needs to be replaced again. I am told that it is due to excessive play in the crankshaft. This claim has been declined as the warranty company states more

Excellent Service 3/23/2008

I had my Honda Civic for 11 years... It finally died on me and I had to get a new car. I wanted to stay within the Honda family because it is a great car!!!! I was afraid to go to Honda dealership because we were ripped off by Castle Honda. We bought 3 cars from them. I emailed several dealerships and Schaumburg Honda called and sounded the most sincere,,,, I spoke with Scott Carson. I had the best experience with him, no pressure, he tries his best to meet your expectations, and very friendly. He calls me every now and then to see if my New CRV is working well for me. He is great!!! I'd recommend him to anyone. I also spoke with the General Manager, Mike, he was great too. Friendly and no pressure!!! They really try their best to make you satisfied without being pressured!!! I also have to commmend their auto part department, Carrie Adams. i took my car here to get it's 25,000 service and it was a great experience. it is a short distance from woodfield mall, so while my car was serviced, i got to shop. they are very friendly and their serivce is fast. highly recommend it more

Customer Service 4/23/2005

My family purchased two automobiles from this location. We bought a Civic DX and an Accord. We felt that we got ripped off on both the cars. The service was not the greatest either. I had an oil change done and took my car in for more than one of the services and they were not very helpful. It was very expensive for maintenance as well. more
