Worst

The owner Joby is a very good mechanic, but a pita to deal with. The guy is kind of like the soup nazi, hard to feel good about doing business with him.

DON'T GO ... I used Joby for several years but always somewhat reluctantly because of his caustic and extremely rude demeanor. I eventually bought a used Saab from him and he reneged on promises made about this car - even little ones such as programming a key free of charge because the car came with just one key - He guaranteed this 2002 9-5 to be solid performer because he personally had overhauled it. A year later - a total lemon, needs a new transmission, busted bushing and more more

Completely incredible and trustworthy 3/7/2011

I'm a woman so we all know that's a negative when trying to get your car fixed. Joby made me feel comfortable and always takes time out to explain what's going on with my car and answer any questions I have. I believe he cares about my car just as much as I do. I wholeheartedly trust JOBY because he knows what he is doing and is DIRECT and HONEST about what I need and don't need. I LOVE my SAAB as if it were my baby. I am so thankful my friend referred me here because I know I am getting the best care for my baby. more

Bad Attitude 6/8/2008

Joby is the owner and sole mechanic at Scania Aiuto Service. The other review here is dead on. (thanks for the info on Svennsons in Lafayette). Joby is arrogant and has no personality and is rude. I spent $1600 with him for a number of things over a 2 week period, and unfortunatly, his arrogance was all I remember. Don't waste your time here. You will not feel good about spending your money with Scania Auto Service. They guy is a A$$.. more

Saab Master 8/16/2007

My 1995 900SE Convertible (V6 engine) Saab was very sick, so I took it to Scania. And now it works great. Seriously folks, this car had a laundry list of items that needed tending to, and Joby resolved them all. He even alerted me to a MAJOR potential problem with the V6 engine (timing belt) that would've destroyed my engine had it not been changed. Actually, this was the first thing he mentioned when I initially called him. Pros: Knowledgable, Honest Cons: Keep working on that customer service more
