I honestly don't really do five star reviews, but Sasha was pretty close. I went to Sasha last night for a pedicure with a friend, and though it was a little pricey, the staff was friendly and definitely knowledgeable, and they put up with us chatting away like mad. \r Sasha was also very clean and I didn't feel any concern whatsoever about the equipment being sanitary and safe for my use, and I admit, that's a big thing for me. I've been tentative to try my local pedi places for that very reason, and I had no issues. The service took about 30 minutes, but they allocate 45, and they recommend 20 minutes of drying time for pedis. No one else was there, so we definitely took that much or more, and my toes look just as lovely this morning as they did when she finished. The one thing that they do that's different is use an electric sander (like a tiny version of the household tool) on the bottoms of your feet. I flinched a lot because I'm super ticklish, but she was very patient with me, and my callouses are gone, something I'm not sure I could ever say. It was not at all painful, and my feet feel like they haven't been city tromping all the time, which is pretty impressive. Nail treatment-wise, she was very thorough and detailed, and there was no messiness with my nails, so I felt like the nearly $40 pedi was pretty much worth it. \r I'm really glad I tried Sasha out, and I will certainly be going back! more

Well lit exterior, easy access to room; spacious, clean, except for dead bug in coffee pot, and someone else's drink left in refrigerator. Nice to have microwave and refrigerator. Adequate towels. Skimpy on toilet paper and accessories. Seems common to foreign-run motels. more

I've been going to Sasha Salon and Spa once a month for a manicure, pedicure and facial. I look forward to seeing Nadia (for facial) and Olga (for nails) as the highlight of my week, and maybe my month!\r \r Olga is such a lovely person and somehow manages to make my gross feet look great. I'm losing one of my toe nails (it's all black and blue, yuck, I know) and she even managed to get that one looking good! Not only does she do such a great job with my nails, but she's so nice listening to me gab about the details of my life. I should be paying her to be my therapist or life coach. haha\r \r As for Nadia, she is also very sweet and gives an excellent facial. One of the things that I like best about her facials is that she has a sixth sense for which pimples are ready to be extracted and which aren't, thus allowing any break outs to heal as they should. In the past I have had some very painful extractions that I'm certain made the problem worse. In general I don't break out nearly as much since I started going to Nadia. This week she gave me a very nice shoulder massage, which was amazing since I was so stressed. I also HIGHLY recommend getting a glycolic peel. It is very reasonably priced (only $20 more with a regular facial) and my skin is so smooth and glowing.\r \r My experience at Sasha has made me realize how important it is to me to have people who care about me working on my skin. Sure, it is easy to justify going to Sasha because of the quality and price, but it's Nadia and Olga that make me excited for my next appointment. I only hope that the owner (manager?) of the Salon values the fact that Nadia and Olga are so personable. The owner could learn from Nadia and Olga and start talking to clients instead of hovering over the poor receptionist at all times.\r \r Long story short, if you live or go to school in the area, you should become a regular customer here. These lovely ladies will take good care of you. more

I am in LOVE with Lena!! I just got the whole kit n caboodle taken off for the first time and she made me feel so zen and relaxed, it was crazy! I have been getting waxes since I was 18 and have never had it as easy as I did and I usually leave a landing strip. Treat ya'self and get this done as pain-free as it gets. Seriously. more

Very good wax, but not the fastest 2/19/2009

I've had a number of brazilian waxes at Sasha Salon, including my first ever wax. The staff is very nice, soothing and really made me feel comfortable when I first went it. Cons: Parking, Slow at hair removal, Price more

Perfect place!! 10/28/2008

Great location!!! Atmosphere was great. Music was great. The service was great. I went there and saw Erica for a facial and a wax. She gave the best massage! She also answered all of my questions regarding my hormonal breakouts and had some great recommendations for products to use. I bought a moisturizer that my skin is addicted to! I will definitely return. Curious to find out how the massages are...any ideas? more

best spa in cambridge! 8/18/2008

Went to sasha for the first time today and saw Paula. Very friendly reception, unlike other I went to Cambridge last week. I had laser hair removal and Paula made me very comfortable and was very knowledgable about the laser hair removal. Answered all of my question, I already booked my next facial and laser appointment. She's great! Pros: great location, reasonable prices, friendly staff, clean Cons: none! more

Best wax ever, 0 pain 7/29/2008

This is the ultimate place to get a bikini wax. Cristin did mine and she was super friendly and professional. You can almost fall asleep because the process is so painless. It's AMAZING! I'm never going to back to the other place I used. The wax at Sasha's is of great great great quality, no strips!!! Amazing! Pros: professional, friendly staff, no pain wax, nice atmorsphere, very clean more

Great Service - esp Tatyana 5/15/2008

I hate to recommend her because I don't want her to be booked - but Tatyana is wonderful - great waxing great facials. She really took the time to understand my needs and problems. And the availability of same day apointments is wonderful. Pros: Great staff Cons: Not the most relaxing athmosphere - but pretty good more

professional, good results, not painful at all 3/25/2008

I had a bikini wax at Sasha almost three weeks ago and, happily, can report zero ingrown hairs! This hasn't been the case at other spas. Doreen did my wax and she was very friendly (but professional) and made the experience one of the most painless I've had. She truly listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly that. The wax she was high quality, too. The only complaint I have is that Doreen did not apply any kind of skin soother to me after the wax, which I thought was standard practice. At other spas, they apply witch hazel or essential oils or something to calm the skin, but she didn't. Perhaps I was supposed to request it. I didn't leave in pain, but I think some of the redness I experienced could have been prevented if she'd applied something to the skin immediately after. Pros: Price, service, excellent quality more

Natasha is wonderful 1/9/2008

I have seen it all in terms of bikini wax: high end, low end, and everything in between. By far, Natasha has been the best! I was in a pinch and Natasha was booked, so I recently visited Beaucage, which was hailed by Allure as the best bikini wax in Boston. Well, I left there having paid more than I have EVER paid for a bikini wax...and the next day, was greeted with a bunch of ingrowns, despite using TendSkin. Pros: natasha, no attitude, amazing product line, perfect results Cons: nada! more

Diane was the BEST waxer EVER. 11/6/2007

I have been going here for about three years and tried each person at this salon for my lip wax. I have very fine, blonde hair - difficult to see. Diane was the only one who did a perfect wax every time. Her attention to detail and friendly manner were top notch. more

great facial 10/10/2007

I had a wonderful, relaxing facial with Doreen and have had the same experience with Tatiana. They know thier stuff. They know skin. They do an excellent job. Friendly, clean, and no pressure. I got a great massage followed by an ultrasonic facial (cutting edge) followed by the manual facial. I came out feeling rejuvinated. Pros: Seem to really know skin Cons: doors are thin, noise travels easily while you are trying to relax more

No nonsense skincare 1/17/2007

I have been to Sasha 3 times for eyebrow and lip waxing (total = $36) with three aestheticians: Natasha, Lena, and Paula. Each time I walked in without an appointment and they were able to fit me in immediately. I had great experiences with all three aestheticians: they were all extremely professional and took my eyebrows very seriously, taking 20-30 minutes to make sure everything was perfect, and following up with antibiotic lotion. They don't push products on you but will recommend things if you have questions. It costs a little more than other salons, but they are so thorough that a brow shaping lasts a full month (with a little tweezing in between on my part), instead of two weeks like when I have it done at the other places. It has a very European, no-nonsense, serious spa quality to it, which some Americans might not like if they want to feel completely pampered or like they just made a new friend, but I appreciate the efficiency. And it's not like it's a totally severe environment since they do pump soothing music in to all of the treatment rooms. Pros: experienced aestheticians, low-heat wax great for sensitive skin Cons: a little on the expensive side more

standard, but not special 10/30/2006

I had a facial done at Sasha Skin Care. I thought it was good, but I've had better, and for about the same price. I did not come out feeling super pampered, which is what I look for when I go to a spa. Moreover, the decor and the atmosphere at Sasha were more like a clinique and less like a spa. Pros: Convenient location for Cambridge residents Cons: lacking in decor more

Best bikini wax!! 8/13/2006

easy to get an appt. kind staff. First time i got a bikini wax, and tatiana was amazing! Minimal pain and she's the sweetest lady. Prices were fabulous as welL! I've been to Le Pli in the Charles Hotel for a massage, but their staff (the person who worked on me as well as the front desk staff) were rude. I'm so happy with the results! Pros: price, staff, easy to get an appt. more

Wonderful, relaxing place 1/21/2006

I am so happy that I discovered this salon in my neighborhood. Everyone at Sasha is so warm and friendly, not to mention skilled at what they do. Larissa's manicures are fantastic, and both Galina and Paulina do a great job at eyebrow tweezing/sculpting. I'm looking forward to trying out a facial here as well. Sasha Salon is a peaceful refuge when you need a little break. Pros: Friendly staff, Skilled staff, Location Cons: N/A more
