When this place first opened, it was so great. Reasonable lunch prices with high quality food. Dinner has always been expensive, but the quality of the food kind of dictated it. Service was never great, but it used to be acceptable.
Then prices started going up. If prices go up, then OK service doesn't cut it. But I would settle for OK service considering how amateurish the service can get. What was inexcusable was the service getting worse and inconsistency in the quality of the food. They would cut corners in areas like the baby spinach that would accompany your kabobs. The quality was definitely down.
Also, while most of the time, the lamb kabobs would be great, there were a couple of times in recent months when I was shorted on the quantity and one time the quality wasn't as good. Still quality of the food is really good on the average. Their CHICKEN BARG is excellent with a rich flavor and is easily better than the similar chicken kabob which is also served.
In response to one of the reviewers here, you are not alone. One of my friends got an extra charge for lentil rice because he said ""OK"" when a server asked if he would like lentil rice instead of white rice. He was never told it was extra.
The waitresses are inattentive. They seem overwhelmed. Rumis needs to hire a couple more waiters considering that despite the bad service they still get a tremendous amount of business. Upscale clientele. You will see a lot of luxury cars in the lot. I find the bad service odd considering the owner is very personable. But he has done a bad job passing that on to the day to day managers.
Pros: The meat
Cons: Service, Price, Service, Congested, Service
