We needed a plumber to clear a bad clog in the main drain in our kitchen at our home in Saint Charles. Bill from Roto-Rooter in Elgin was on-time, very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to fix the drain quickly and cleanly and now it is flowing like new. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter for any home plumbing needs. more

Excellent Plumber! He was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing. He provided a quote and got started right away. I was concerned about the mess it was going to make because I have had plumbers in the past trash my house. He said it would look exactly like when he started. When he went downstairs he even put little booties on his shoes so not to track anything on the carpets (I wish I had called them to do my last plumbing job after which I had to clean my carpets). A very pleasant experience for not such a pleasant job! more

The plumber from Elgin was very friendly. He provided a quote, confirmed whether I wanted the service before beginning anything. The amount on the final bill matched the quote, no surprises. Before he left, he walked me through the changes to make sure I knew where the modifications were and how to access them if needed more

Best in McHenry County! 1/1/2012

Butch Morici at Roto-Rooter Plumbing in McHenry County (Wonder Lake, specifically) is simply the best! We just bought our house a month ago and our aging sump pump kept turning on repeatedly, and the metal cover was getting really hot. Not good. Butch arrived EARLY for the appointment (can you imagine?), explained in plain English what needed to be done and why and what it would cost. Butch was fantastic; clean, articulate, friendly and he completed the job in just 45 minutes. Kudos Roto-Rooter; you hired one darn good plumber. We'll be calling you for all the other plumbing we need done around here! more

Excellent Service! 10/20/2011

The drain in our basement was backing up. I called Roto-Rooter and they had someone out to my house within the hour! Mark gave me an estimate before he did any work to make sure the price was okay. We had our main sewer line rodded and root killer put down the drain as well. Our plumber, Mark, made sure to go over everything he did before he did it. He made a recommendation to have a clean-out station put in but he was NOT pushy at all...just offering some advice for the future. He made sure (a few times) that no water came back up the drain once he was done. He was one of the nicest people I have come into contact with and was very thorough. I would highly recommend this company! more

What a relief!! 10/1/2011

Gone are the days of calling around, going on hold, taking a day off to wait on the sewer man. I booked online @ 11pm on a Friday night & received a call Saturday morning @7 confirming the truck would be out to clear the drain in an hour...ON A SATURDAY!!! more

Terrifis service as always 9/25/2011

As soon as I knew I had a plumbing problem I called Roto-Rooter. Even though it was a Saturday ""my"" plumber Bill was there very quickly from the Elgin facility. He has been to my home before and has always been very business like and explains what he is going to do and if I have any questions he gives me very clear explanations. No one likes plumbing problems but Roto-Rooter makes it as pleasant as possible and I will continue to use them. more

Great Service & Honest 7/29/2011

We used Roto-Rooter in the past for a minor problem and because of the plumber (Butch) and his honesty, knowledge and quality work I called this morning when I had a different plumbing problem. To my surprise it was Butch that came to the rescue. Once again he was very knowledgable and fixed our problems yet again. The people on the phone are also very friendly when you call for an appointment. Overall another great experience and for me having someone honest who does quality work cannot be beat. Thanks again! more

Very quick response to our rerquest for service. Someone was at our house within a couple hours, all other plumbers we called were at least 1 to 2 days before they could come. This serviceman came from Elgin and the other plumbers were ""local"". Very helpful plumber. Explained possible reasons for our problem and used multiple techniques to insure the entire problem was resolved. more

Quick and Clean 6/18/2011

I called and expected to wait a day or so, but someone came within a couple of hours. He completed the work quickly (replacing a broken sludge pump) and left the area as clean as he found it. Very friendly and didn't mind the dog! more

GOOD SERVICE 5/29/2011

We had a clogged sink and tried everything to unclog the sink. Contacted Roto-Rooter and they were able to come out the same day to fix the drain. It took a matter of 15 minutes to fix it. Very friendly and informative. The only issue I have is that he called and said he would be here within an hour and it took about 4 hours. more

We had a clogged kitchen sink and no matter what we tried, we could not fix the problem and decided we needed to call a plumber. We called theRoto-Rooter in Elgin at 9:30 at night and they said they could have someone here (in Algonquin) within half an hour! They were fast, efficient and very friendly. more
