Best Japanese in New York 9/11/2008

I have been hearing a lot about this tinny size Tribeca Japanese spot, and it was even more than what I expected. Gorgeously presented each dish made me keep taking pictures with my cell phone but I wasn't ashamed. I'll review and enjoy all my pictures till my next visit, which I'll make very soon. Pros: very quite and personal atmosphere more

Extraordinary 7/25/2007

My friends and I had an extraordinary evening at Rosanjin last month. The food and sake was absolutely sublime, and the presentation and service was impeccable. Also?.I saw a surprise guest, celebrity chef David Bouley with his Japanese entourage. Pros: They ask for credit card info to secure the reservation Cons: Which, they explained, is essential to guarantee the freshness of the ingredient they use more

A Beautiful Dininhg Experience 4/2/2007

I rarely review restaurants on websites. I find that most people just want to complain about something, but I am compelled to tell everyone about Rosanjin. The freshest food I've ever tasted (so many restaurants load down with butter or another sauce, but that's not the Japanese way.) A beautiful romantic room, and best of all a real kaiseki meal. This place is special and deserves to be full every night. At $150 for a nine-course menu I found it to be worth every penny. If you've never had a kaiseki dinner, go to Rosanjin and experience the real thing. Pros: Romantic, fresh food, beautiful presentations Cons: Sometimes you can forget what you've eaten since there are 9 courses more
