Fortunately I got an appointment; my intention was to test their all-inclusive salon spa services menu. I was very enthusiastic to experiment their massages supposed to be the best of the best in Long Island, facials and of course their famous hair services. I got them all! I ended up staying the entire day at the Rodolfo Valentin Long Island Beauty Center Salon spa. After having this unique experience I plainly appreciate why they are the winners of the best of Citysearch in all the nominees! They truthfully are the best spa in Long Island, their massages are transcendent, their facials are outstanding and their hair colorists are perhaps the only good hair colorists in New York! I got the hair color that not one hair color person in any salon was ever able to give me. I have so natural shades that seems like it is my natural hair color. As soon as I checked in I was invited to change into a delicious robe in one of their individual changing rooms, then I was escorted to the spa floor. As soon as I come out of the elevator I stop just in front of the waterfall for a few minutes. On that balcony I was overlooking the entire salon floor and I was able to really appreciate the magnificent of this salon which clearly shows why it is named Long Island Beauty, I think that probably there is no other salon like this in the world! It is a piece of art also with art in the walls and antiques all over! While in the massage room I was rapidly relaxed by the soft spa music and after 30 minutes of massage totally felt to sleep! With a soft voice Angela wake me up and invited me to the steam cabin already prepare with spa-aromas, then ended up with an invigorating body shower. I was served a salad in the waterfall lounge and a cup of herbal tea. Then I got a facial so relaxing that made me sleepy again ( I cannot never sleep well, now I know where to go)??? In the salon floor Liza took care of my color, I wanted to give a try to the new ???ombre??? hair color technique. I ended up with a beautiful degree starting from medium dark brown roots and gradually getting lighter toward the ends. I DO NOT HAVE WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW GEORGEOUS IT IS! After a little trim my hair was blow-dry and I was very sad because it was the end of my services and I was not ready to leave yet, this salon spa is so pleasant that people does not want to leave! This is first time in my life that I was not in a hurry to go home. I will be back every week for blow-dry and then I will have the beautiful day I have today at least once a month, I hope there are appointments available because they are very strict with the appointments. THIS SALON SPA IS EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR EVERY SPA OR SALON CRAVINGS. more

I truly have the benefit of being one of the two thousand people invited to enjoy to the wedding of Andrea Catsimatidis, daughter of John and Margo with Chirstopher Nixon Cox, the grandson of the late President Richard Nixon at the Waldorf Astoria. I also have the great pleasure of share the celebration with Hilary Clinton, Henry Kissinger and the congresswoman Carolyn Maloney. Everybody was looking gorgeous, why? We all use the same hair stylist, Rodolfo Valentin. Thank you Rodolfo, you are truly an artist and the only and only number one in New York, no doubt about it! more

It was not easy to find the best hair extension salon in New York with so many offerings and none of them sounding attractive! I truly was exhausted and frustrated of having visited most of the extension salons that are proclaiming of doing the best and being the best of the best, specially one in Astoria, Queens when in reality it is the worst in every sense. Asking friends and non-friends in the restaurants or while shopping I ended up with a consultation with Rodolfo Valentin. Did not take me more than 30 minutes to realize that I was in the right hands or probably I should say golden hands! I wanted to go to a top colorist who could give me great recommendation on what to do with my hair. As an alternative because Rodolfo was not there, I got a young woman who fixed up my color totally ruined by other hair color salon. She left one color going down the middle of my hair where she dyed my roots, which happens to be what is in FASHION NOW! Which means “DARK ROOTS”, “LIGTHER ENDS” which are gradually getting lighter beginning from the roots, this technique is calling OMBRE. They told me that it is normal to happen when something new shows in fashion, it takes a while to people get used to. I had to leave work (which my boss understood because he could see my husband was unhappy, which is saying something) they told me it would take an hour. I insisted in to pay because it is not their fault that I am surrounded by OLD FASHION PEOPLE. They said I didn't have to pay for the color, but I insisted to pay for the decoupage (a process in which they make your hair one color). Rodolfo didn't seem happy that I have to go back to my OLD FASHION just one shade color. I would have been content to blame this to my OLD FASHION HUSBAND, but the overall reaction of my daughter to my flat hair color the next day was dramatic, she broke into tears saying MOM YOU HAVE NEVER LOOK SO GREAT, why you changed your color back! I was embarrassed to return to start all over again, but Rodolfo and his staff are so understandable that these things happens that without having an appointment they use all their patience to give me back the great hair color job that I was having the day before. They are very chic and classy, also for being in the heart of Madison Avenue where every check never drops under 300 dollars, whatever it is like a lunch at Nello?s or a Hermes scarf, they are extremely affordable in all their prices. Of course there are some less pretentious colorists that will charge you less, but you get what you paid for, a lousy job and your hair damaged! Rodolfo Valentin has the best customer service and it is very pleasant to see Susan smile as soon as you walking greeting you! Best Salon on Long Island and probably the best salon in the world second to their other location in New York City. I am client of their location in New York City which is very well known as the worlds best salon, but yesterday I came to play golf in the Woodmere Club with friends. They told me that as soon as they finish to play they will be going to the Rodolfo salon in Long Island which is the best salon on Long Island. I asked if I can join them. they said of course, let's see if we can get you an appointment. They did, they got me for everything I wanted, facial, massage, hair color, hair cut. With my hair I am not so easy but I did not know that Maritza which is also in the New York City location was going to be at the Long Island location that day. After having breakfast at the Woodmere club and playing golf we checked in to the long island beauty center. I must say I checked out around 6pm and I did not realized I was there for so many hours, it was like heaven!, Angela did my facial and massage, maritza my hair color and hair cut, I was ready to start all over again! we ended up having dinner in a new restaurant in Hewlett call Marmeid, I loved! the food and the service. Rodolfo Valentin Reviews are unbelievable! so I decided to try their services myself last week. I did an appointment at the New York City Salon for consultation. As soon as I walked in there were two ladies in the reception desk with a big, welcoming smile which made me feel very comfortable from the very first minute I was there. They escorted me to the changing rooms and provided a robe. Then while waiting I was offered a glass of champagne by the cute floor manager of name Dennis. Even if I was waiting for around 20 minutes I was fascinated watching the parade of several customers leaving with gorgeous hair. Some very long, some medium length but all of their hair colors truly stunning. I realized that I was in the right salon for first time in my life. All my previous salons experiences were a disaster, first about haircuts, I was never able to get the perfect haircut and I must say that I have been to the most expensive and famous hair stylists in New York City. Then my hair color always dull without life. After being customer of one of the most famous hair colorists in NYC for years this is another reason why I come in to Rodolfo Valentin salon. Rodolfo is very gently and as seen in the Rodolfo Valentin reviews I must say that all those Rodolfo Valentin reviews are perfectly matching which each review and all the comments as posted. Now I have a hair color that is the talk of the town, and all co-workers at my office. In my opinion I cannot categorize the distinction among them, they all are kind and high expert. Rodolfo knows how to teach them. They are outstanding in all they do. Rodolfo Valentin Salon is really a retreat and they actually handle to join a joyful, lively salon with a tranquil spa in a divide quarter with soothing spa music. It is very important to me to calm down while I have my hair done it is a own doorway. I noticed as a guest that from the moment I walked into the cozy, elegant and modern salon mostly of the clientele there are client?s interested in three specific services, hair color, hair extensions and hair replacement. I must say that I also loved his haircut, now I can manage my hair myself! Whether it's adding a few face-framing layers or chopping it all off, the first thing that Rodolfo Valentin considers is your lifestyle and the time that you're willing to spend on styling. First things he asked me were if it Is my morning routine more get-up-and-get-out-the-door, or if I do wake up with time allotted to put myself together? He also asked me if I was willing to incorporate new styling tools and products into my regimen. Then he finished with the bottom line: You don't want your new haircut to compete with your everyday routine. It was the haircut I have ever have, also at a low price, I paid in his Long Island location only $175. Cheap for the superb quality! Wow! what can I say about Rodolfo Valentin? Is it the accent? their great services that cannot be compare to none, or maybe the incredibly attentive staff? or the gracious offers of wine, capuccinos or champagne? I also got hot snacks!! I had so much attention at his salon - I thought I was a movie star for a day! Anyway - went to Rodolfo to replace my existing horrendous hair extensions that I had for only 3 weeks from a hair extension salon in Astoria, Queens. I swear those things must have been made from horse hair, to make it worst they attached them with heat that totally damaged my hair! After having 3 consultations in other places in one day that less than impressed me - I was so discouraged, I nearly canceled his appointment! But I went anyway. His appointment was the last consultation I had that day and will EVER have! After patiently answering all of my questions, I decided to take a chance and buy his hair extension system. Now, after having them installed, I walk down the street now and people stare at my hair. Today, the bank tellers at my local bank were gathered around me admiring my pretty hair! What can I say? Rodolfo all I have to say!!! I am so extremely delighted with my haircut. I have gone to more than a few different top hair salons in NYC, but with no good fortune finding a hair stylist who would cut or color the way I want, or even near for that subject. I was so overwhelmed with the way Rodolfo had cut my sister's hair and did the hair color which is stunning too, that I made the appointment three days later. It has been about over three weeks now and every day I wake up I look forward to the way I will be styling my hair that day. I was at the Rodolfo Valentin Long Island Beauty Center Salon that is the winner of the best of Citysearch in Hair color, hair extensions, haircut, highlights, and also in general as a hair salon. So I decide to try all those award winning services! Maritza did my hair color and highlights, and then Franco put their famous hair extensions that are super natural, follow by a tailored haircut, the result? Of course exactly what can be expected from an award winning place like that! FABULOUS! At the beginning I was very concern that the master Rodolfo Valentin was not there, I understand that he is only at the Long Island location on Saturdays but that is the day that I must be with my family and they will get very upset if I spent the day in the salon instead of being in home. I didn?t have other choice than to go Wednesday. But I certainly think that I didn?t miss anything, Rodolfo obviously has trained his staff to perfection and they have learned up to the most minimal detail how to please customers. Since the second I walked into the salon I was greeted by the warm front desk personnel, they were so good that I can remember the name of one of them: ?Dennis?, sweet and extremely friendly. He helped me to change into my robe and walked me to the back to introduce me to the hair colorist. They don?t forget about you as most salons do, they are constantly around asking if we need something, offering drinks including champagne and serving snacks. I left the salon feeling like I was there several times before. The atmosphere is so friendly that they make you feel part of the family. My husband shouted sexy! When looking at my hair? my children loved the hair extensions and my new hair color. The place is beautiful, the staff is friendly and attentive, and Rodolfo, the owner, gave me an amazing haircut but it bother me that he kept telling me I have very fine hair and I should get extensions. Also, he only spent 10 minutes on my hair and made me feel like he was in a hurry...didn't get nice layers :( more

My home ground is New York City but my preferred hair stylist at Rodolfo Valentin salon is Marlene, she is in NYC salon from Tuesdays through Fridays but if I need her any Saturday for special occasion she works at the Rodolfo Valentin Long Island Salons. I must say that I love when I have to go to the salon on Long Island; it is very relaxing for me to drive the 40 minutes (or less) to get there. Checking in at the Long Island Beauty Center is an experience; it is like walking in somewhere in Europe, a mix between Italian renaissance and a French elegance. It is a gorgeous fabulous place where I can have great massages or facials, to relax in their spa lounge at the sounds of the waterfall just behind the first class sofas is unsurpassed. I am 38 years old and I have short blonde hair. I have had irregular haircuts and have also had to wait several weeks to my hair to grow back after bad haircuts. No matter to whatever I go always same bad results and I have been at the best salons all over NYC. But after visiting Rodolfo Valentin, with Marlene I have never had a bad haircut. It is medium length, vivacious and eye-catching. In all places I go I get tributes. Marlene gave me precisely what I have been looking for. Since then Marlene is my hair stylist she will be the only one touching my hair. One of my closest friends loved my hair and decided to go to see Marlene. She has kinky really curly hair but after using Marlene services her hair looks astonishing, all our friends are saying that her hair is a phenomenon, and seems like nobody ever considered that her own natural hair could be so beautiful, really great improvement. more
