I have nothing but excellent things to say. They were highly recommended by 2 famlies so I placed an order for my sons Eagle Scout Ceremony. They did an awesome job had NO cake left to take home. I have attended 3 since and no cake has stood up to comparison. My youngest Eagle Ceremony is in Nov and will travel the 27 mile to the bakery for their cake. They are teh best. more

RJ Goodies has done more than a few cakes for my family. Everytime we have a baptism, birthday, baby or wedding shower, we call RJ's. Their cake is wonderful and they have many different varieties. However, the best part is that they will ice the cake in any pattern you like. For example, if you have an invitation for a wedding shower and you want the cake to match it, they will decorate the cake like the invitation. It is fabulous and very personal. The shop is still small enough to have that down-home, friendly atmosphere, which is a huge plus in any situation. Kudos to RJ's! more

I have been getting cakes from this bakery for many years and our cakes have always been top notch! I wouldn't think of getting my cakes from anyone except RJ Goodies. more

R.J. Goodies is the best restaurant in town. Everything that I have ever gotten there has been absolutely delicious. Their Texas Sheet Cake, Marble Brownie, and grasshoppers are to die for. Literally, I would die for them. Their cookies are moist and delicious! Their cutout cookies, as well as the abigail cookies are so wonderful. Their cakes are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and they are hands down the tastiest, delightful cakes that you will ever taste. The decorators do such a fabulous job decorating and I have never been disappointed or know of anybody being disappointed with their cakes. The artwork that they do is unbelievable and will take your breath away. The lunch food is to die for as well. If you want your food fixed in a jiffy, then you gotta go to r.j.'s. The kitchen staff is wonderful and friendly, and they will fix your food faster than you can say r.j. goodies. Make sure to request ""Neil"" whenever you are getting your food made! He's wonderful and will help with you anything that you need. As far as ordering your cake, you have to ask for ""julio."" He is knowledgeable and can tell you anything you need to know about the cakes there and will provide you with the upmost respect and service. The last thing that I want to say about this place is the owner is the most lovely lady you will ever meet. She helped me with my order and was polite, and a fresh of breath air. I don't understand the negative comments made on here because this place is the best. I have never had bad service or anything to that extent. You have to try this place. YOu won't be disappointed. more

MAKES UR EYES ROLL BACK INTO YOUR HEAD: THE CAKES AND CUP CAKES ARE THE BEST ON THE PLANET THE BUTTER CREAM ICEING SHOULD BE UNDER LOCK AND KEY. SERVICE IS OK .BUT THE CAKES R THE SHOW . I have been buying cakes and desserts from R J Goodies for many years. Their cakes are fantastic - always really good. I love their cookies and the Texas Sheetcake is wonderful. \r \r I have also dined in for lunch with friends. The lunches are good - their chicken salad is very good. The portions are just right. more

If you go to a birthday party on the northwest side of town and bite into one of the best cakes you've ever had, chances are, if you ask, the host will inform you it is an R.J. Goodies cake. R.J. Goodies is the standard by which all other birthday cakes (in northwest Houston) are measured. Of course you pay a premium to have one of these cakes grace the faces of the kids (and the floor) at your party and, in fact, it may be wasted on their untrained tastebuds. Adults, however will be sure to notice the fluffy, moist cake wrapped in a delicately flavored icing. more

We called ahead to have our lunch order ready and it was ready on time and exactly as ordered, which is always a plus. The chicken salad was very fresh and tasty and not too heavy and the buns they use are really yeasty and soft, but don't get soggy. Apparently the desserts are delicious also, but I of course was too strong willed to succumb to the tasty lemon bar,...ahem. more

RJ Goodies cakes are my idea of heaven. They are the standard to which I hold all other cakes. They are so super wonderfully sugary. We always order an RJ Goodies cake for family birthdays. They always are decorated to perfection. more

For more than ten years my friends and family have bought RJ Goodies' cakes for every special occasion. We have never been disappointed. Their cakes are always fresh and absolutely delicious! In fact, we can identify the unique cakes just by smelling and looking at them. Their decorators do a fabulous job. It is our number one recommendation. more

If I wasn't following behind my two friends driving, I would of been lost. This place looks like a veterinary clinic. Other than that, the inside was adorable. It was the cleanest place that I have seen... other than a hospital. RJG is known for their desserts, but I came in for their lunch specials.The menu was very reasonable. I don't think I saw anything above $9. The soup with a twist ($5.95) came with a large bowl of soup and a small deli sandwich (your choice). For $6, it wasn't too bad but your choice of soup was either the soup of the day or potato bacon which is served daily. The broccoli cheese soup was alright. It was very cheesy/watery and was lacking in one of the ingredients... broccoli! I thought the chicken salad sandwich was delightful. The chips that is served with it was very salty. more

I love RJ Goodies. I think their chocolate cake with buttercream frosting is the best of the best. I order their cakes every year for my kid's birthdays and am never disappointed. You can give them a theme and they will make a work of art--seriously cute cakes and delicious to boot. How often does that happen? \r more

When I ordered they were very nice and got everything perfect. Then I made a couple of phone calls just to confirm and make sure everything was good and they were very kind over the phone. When I picked up the cake for the birthday party the following week they were once again very helpful and the cake was perfect with my son's theme. I had to special order a piece because no one carried that particular theme of ""phineas and ferb"". So, I had given them a cake topper and a picture and they made it EXACTLY like the picture I gave them. Overall, great experience....OH and of course the CAKE tasted absolutely amazing. They put something addictive in the icing! haha! It's delicious! more

Great service, friendly people happy in their jobs, nice and accommodating owners, GREAT desserts. The lemon bars, sheet cakes (especially the swirl cake) are fantastic and the cherry pie was excellent. They are preparing all of the desserts for our son's wedding!!!! Highly recommend this establishment. more
