Best

This place is great! I spent two nights there, but i wish i could have stayed more. This hotel has been in Long Beach since 1967 and it actually use to have a steady flow of about...

Worst

It all started at the ticket counter with a grumpy and less than helpfull sells person, the tour guides are knowledgeable but strange carnival folk, and the ship condition is dust...

Nice Boat 6/26/2002

Nothing more to say really. It's nice to keep history around, but I don't see the big draw to the Queen Mary. more

The love boat 6/26/2002

This boat is really nice. Having dinner there is romantic. The food there is really good. more

Great Place to stay the night! 6/15/2002

If you haven't stayed aboard the Queen for the night you're missing out. Get the feeling of how they did many years ago but with a luxurious twist. On weekend nights they have good night life at the bar. more

All day Fun at the Queen 6/15/2002

Truly one of the best ways to spend a weekend aboard the Queen. I never realized how much history, fun, and ghost lived inside the Queen Mary. You need at least 5-6 hours to try and see it all and it's worth every penny. Pros: Exciting, Plenty to do more

A True Treasure 6/12/2002

Great Sunday outing with friends, family or as a couple. Multiple entertainment options, I recommend the World War Two tour. The Russian submarine is a nice bonus tour. Art, artifacts and decor really take you back in time. End it with a beverage in the Art Deco "Observation Bar", which is exactly restored as it was when the ship set sail in 1936. more

The Queen Mary rocks! 5/9/2002

The fun never stops at this historical Long Beach icon. more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Before the luxurious Queen Elizabeth 2 took to the oceans as the world's most famous ocean liner, the Queen Mary rounded the horn in style. Now moored and anchored to a dock at Long Beach Harbor since its last voyage in 1967, the ship is one of L.A.'s biggest tourist attractions and its most unique hotel. Guests stay in the ship's original 365 staterooms, which run from intimate to lavish suites.

    The Details
The ship features shopping, and many restaurants and bars line the decks. Enjoy formal California cuisine at Sir Winston's, fresh seafood at Chelsea and ocean view cocktails at the Observation Bar. A full-service spa helps you savor shipboard life in the same glamorous Hollywood way that Greta Garbo and Clark Gable did. Lovebirds should know about the onboard wedding chapel, while large groups should check out one of the ship's art deco salons.
