Quality Auto Service

I took my car in for a oil change,I work down the street so I dropped it off. So later I'm walking back to work from my lunch and saw some old guy driving back and fourth in my car. I stood and watched as he drove from one shop to the other. He had to of did it 4 times I counted. I quickly went to get my car which had less gas and more miles. more

I had called Quality to receive a quote for towing and received a quote then said that I would continue calling around. After calling around I found that there was a towing service that would tow for cheaper but I decided that I did not want to use that company because I have seen their equipment before and it looked shoddy. Anyway I called Quality back again and was told that it would be around an hour before they could get to me. I asked if they needed the address and they said that the driver would call for it when they were on there way. After 2 hours of waiting, I called them back again and a driver said it would be 20 min. When the driver came he said to call the office and give them my card info so all he would have to do is issue me a receipt. When I called the office I asked for a discount since I had to reschedule my afternoon because of the wait. My wife and I had a horrible experience at this establishment and I think you folks should think twice before taking your car there. We had a Buick Regal that had a small oil leak. They diagnosed it as a bad oil pan gasket. I said fine, paid them to fix it and she drove it away that day. The problem occured when half-way to her destination the engine blew! Apparently, the "repair" they attempted didn't go too well. When I called the owner to inquire as to what could be done, he told me that it was bad before we brought it in, and they did everything they could. I said: "This was a small leak before we brought it in, she drove it away, and it belched oil all over the road and blew the engine, surely you can do better than that." Nope, sorry these things happen. I told him that they don't happen to cars with 58,000 miles on them and that all auto repair facilities carry errors and ommission insurance. It's like liability insurance for mechanics. I continued and said that the least he could do was meet me halfway on the cost of the engine. "No, sorry we didn't do anything wrong." And then hung up on me. Upon further investigation I found out later that a new and young mechanic had worked on it, and the owner was obviously covering his mistake.
