Hail destoyed our roof and we wanted to use a roofer located in our city. Professional Roofing's owner has lived and worked here his whole life. We heard about him through the Chamber of Commerce. Plus, many of our neighbors had signs in their yards and told us the company was great. Our experience was better than we expected. Our house looks wonderful and the entire staff was great to work with. Even the process of getting the claim handled through our insurance company was made easier with their help. more

Professional was fantastic to work with when we needed roof repairs. The owner went to bat for us when our insurance would only cover gutters due to hail damage and we had roof, siding and other damages. Dan sent a letter and met with State Farm to confirm all hail damages. \r \r Once the work began, we learned our house needed resheeting. I called Megan who was already working on it! In 30 minutes, Professional had an approval from insurance for the unexpected repair, the materials on site, and began the resheeting! \r \r It took a day and a half to do our house and detatched 5 car garage. They swept the area twice as I followed behind. It is the nature of the beast to find nails and that we did, even for a day or two later, but they did good cleaning all that they could.\r \r It gets better...the painters did just as good a job. They kept asking ""anything else?"" until I said that's all. The seemless gutter guys (Partida) were fantastic. They even hand made holders to keep 2 of the gutters in place when they aren't on the ground so we don't have to step over them. I will be thanking them again this winter when my gutters don't drip or leak!\r \r I am thoroughly please with Professional Roofing and all the crews that worked hard to make my place even better than my (high) expectations. This company's name is an oxymoron, they are anything but professional. This company changed the estimate 3 times from what they originally quoted, then wanted to wait for price increases on product before I signed the contract; and then wanted to raise it even after the contract was signed, ""due to 'price increases' again"". I had requested an upgraded material, and modifications to deal with existing issues with the roof, and the prices quoted were in line of what they should have been. This is where the good news stops. The materials that they brought out were wrong to begin with. After informing them of the problems, it took an additional week to get the right materials (I guess small in proportion, since it took 3 months to get the job done). They started the job, removed ridge venting that was already there and shingled over the open void, without replacing it... and to boot, they didn't put any support behind it. After catching them doing this, (they were supposed to be putting ridge venting on the whole roof) there was finger pointing from everyone in the company. The foreman said it was the secretary, the secretary blamed the salesman and foreman. The gutters were blocked and were not allowed to drain properly because of the new shingle installation. According to them, this was my responsibility and my problem. Water backed up under the shingles and leaked inside the house as a result of no ice and water shield, so apparently there was no mid-roof inspection done. After the roof was completed, I was asked to pay an additional $2500 in items that the insurance company ""would not cover"", even though their contract stated that the stated amount was all I was required to pay. Now mind you, that this figure was almost double of what was very first quoted amount was, and the upgrades I requested were only $2000. After speaking to the insurance company, the requested additional amount was never requested or communicated to the insurance company for approval, so they declined it. This was all submitted to them after the job was done. The warranty does not seem to be worth the paper it is written on, since I have been dismissed twice. STAY AWAY from this company. Where do I start? The roof was not installed to the standards stated on their contract, their crews left our lawn littered with nails and scrap material (which we didn't find until after the snow melted) and cost overruns ate up insurance money that was supposed to cover work Professional was not doing. Their window sub-contractor mis-measured the winow twice, so it took 3 months to replace a window. When we tried to withold final payment until the work was completed as per the contract they threatened a lien. We agreed to pay after they scheduled someone to come out & finish everything up. Guess what, they never showed and the work still hasn't been completed. You would be better off not having a roof on your house than hiring Professional to do any work. Pros: Materials used on roof were high quality Cons: No follow through more
