Read the reviews. Gus, the owner, and site manager is a hot head and incredibly confrontational. What should have been a simple misunderstanding over when the job could get done turned into a yelling match. My wife and I both own our own businesses - if we ever treated our clients like he treated us on multiple occasions we would have no clients. Go elsewhere more

Horrible experience. Was working with Gus to do a simple Job on Westfall Road, which is under construction by Villager as the GC.\r The job required the filling of an 8 x 6 foot by 8 inch road cut at a\r cost of $650. Villager required a certificate of insurance and a hold harmless agreement before they would allow Pittsford Paving to do any work. I get a call from Gus who tells me he needs his money in cash (which I agreed to) ahead of time, because his people are at the plant loading up with material. I told him that I had not received a call back from Villager indicating that I had permission and was not comfortable giving him cash up front, until I know that he is authorized to perform the work. He got upset and told me he was canceling the Job. more

I should have taken notice of the reviews and not listened to others.I wanted the best job and thought I called the best, no haggling on price just do it right. They did my whole drive and its not right and what is worse I have been calling for ten weeks with no action, not even them coming out to see the problem. I think the materials are suspect, a drive should not develop holes in less than 3 months. There is obvioulsy no focus on the customer or and value placed in loyality or product quality. They must have been good at one point in time to have a good reputation, but sadly they seem to have lost the plot. Now I'm wondering what to do, winters coming and at this rate my new drive will be totally ruined by the end of it. In summary I would have to say that it would be best to stay away from this service provider. more

We are very very dissatisfied with Pittford Paving. We had them put in a new driveway 6 years ago. It is already crumbling and pitted. We also had them put in a concrete sidewalk for us which began cracking immediately (they made too large a space without putting in an indentation). That now has a large crack. They have been nothing but nasty when we called to see if they can do repairs. I would absolutely not recommend them. We chose them because we thought they had a good reputation, and paid more than other estimates that we had at the time. more

We used these folks to seal our driveway last year and these folks did a poor job. Spots were not properly treated, application was made just before it rained and the materials they used were inferior. Called, sent faxes and emails w/pictures but no one offered to fix the problem. We asked to meet with them and they said they'd stopped by and thought it looked fine. Never knocked on the door or called us and never offered to correct the problem. I would suggest finding another contractor for your paving needs and steer well clear of this company and their poor service/products. more

Despite several calls, faxes and emails with pictures they ignored our concerns. Asked to meet with them in person and they said they'd stopped by and everything looked fine but didn't bother to knock on the door or call us. Seemed like a simple problem to fix but their customer service and follow-up was terrible. I wouldn't recommend these folks to anyone, try someone else if your looking for the job to be done to your satisfaction. more

We're very dissatisified with Pittsford Paving. We thought we hired the best experts black top pavers in Rochester and we were wrong. Pittsford black top our driveway and was trying to be cost effective with us by not putting in a new base before putting a 2" binder down and found out and a few years later half our driveway has craved. My husband specifically asked about a new base to be put down before the binder and owner/salesman Gerry said it wasn't necessary, so we figured he is the expert and went with his advice and now we need half our driveway to be re-done and Pittsford even admitted that they're half the blame for the driveway craving, but they want us to pay quite bit money to repair their work. We were hoping to only have to pay for the material to fix the driveway and Pittsford to asborb the labor and was declined. I would never recommend them to anybody. more

We hired Pittsford Paving to black top our driveway. When we set the appointment they were very accomodating and responded quickly. They also quoted us a price that was unbeatable. We had shopped around quite a bit and found Pittsford Paving to be the all around best. I would highly recommend atleast calling Pittsford Paving for a quote before you go with anyone else. They were easy to work with and well worth the money! more
