Pierce County Security

I was an employee of Pierce County Security. They are honest and keep their word. At no time did I ever feel as if I was left out to dry on a site or un safe.this cant be said of other companies. they treat their employees with the same respect and dignity as their clients. If Istill lived in wa this company would be my first choice for my security or as an employee. Shame on you to those who bad mouth the wellers,they are great people who work hard more

There are plenty of security companies out there. Most come and go and some are certainly better than others. Pierce county Security had been serving the Puget Sound Region since 1927. That's a pretty long time. They wouldn't have lasted this long if they didn't know how to get the job done and at competitive cost. Most companies get by by giving their guards the minimum training required by the State. Not at PCS. PCS gives its officers training far above and beyond what is required and is an industry leader in the amount of training each officer receives. As a former employee, I can attest that the level of training I received qualified me to advance into much higher levels of industrial security with a major aerospace manufacturer. That wouldn't have been possible with the standard training provided by other security companies. I had the honor to work with great people at PCS who were committed to the one thing. Customer service. Night after night these men and women went out and their number one goal was he safety and security of their clients properties. That's not just lip service either. I knew guards who would take it as a personal insult if anything were to happen to a client's property 'on their watch'. Pierce County Security says that 'your security is their business' and as a former patrol officer I can honestly say that they mean every word of that promise. more

I worked here for a short time after I got out of the military. I never had any problems with them and they always treated me very good. more

I worked as a guard for over 3 years and then got hired by the place I worked at. Now I am the client for PCS and have only good things to say about them. Family owned and it shows. No company can do a perfect job but PCS does and is still doing a good job for our office. Bless all in the name of our Lord. Pros: Easy to work with Cons: I don't like blue uniforms. more

After reading the ?reviews? I just had to write a real one. I have been with this company twice. Prior to my last deployment and again once I got back to Ft. Lewis. They have never once shorted me or cheated me in any way. Yea the wages are low but they told me that right up front and that?s true for all security work in this area. I noticed that all the bad reviews are from EX employees., figures doesn?t it. Well I am a current employee, retired military and a proud member of the PCS team. Tell me one other company that the President talks to EVERY single employee they hire! I do a good job every night and so do all the other people I work with. This company is not great to work for. I worked there for several years, and the only reason I stuck with them was due to their flexibility with schedules. I needed this with school. The pay however is just outrageously low at an average rate of 8.50/hr, there is no seniority with sites, you get what you get. I was told in the beginning that you can work your way up.... That was false, I applied many times for a vehicle patrol but never got it. I have experience with handling and working around guns (military), yet never given the opportunity to become armed. They call you day and night, even if you work. Since pay sucks there are a lot of guards who don't give a damn and are late or just don't show up. Lastly some account managers just seem plain lazy, takes forever to take care of a problem on site. Pros: flexible Cons: pay, poor training, poor advancement more

I got guards that were old men, slept on duty and had terrible body oder. I would spend more money next time and get a better company. Pros: Price Cons: You Get What You Py For more

I worked for Pierce County and the people I worked for were really nice people, but I was making about $8.50 per hour on most sites. I was told that because it was Pierce county the pay was lower. I found out other companies in Pierce county pay an average of $10.00. With Pierce county you had to really work hard to find a site that paid $10.00, like the welfare office Tacoma or Seattle. more

Very professional and affordable. The Security Officers look good in their uniforms and appear to be very well trained. I would suggest this organization to provide security for any event or business, large or small. Pros: Very responsive to our needs more

I called this company because I had several break ins at my business. They sent me out a different guard each night instead of just one guy I could depend on. The first night was great. They sent me a very professional guy who really was what I was looking for. After that they kept sending me slobs, elderly guards, 2 guards that fell asleep and several that spoke hardly any english! I canceled and had an alarm system installed. I really might have considered keeping them for security if I could trust that my money was spent on a professional instead of some dope dressed in a security shirt. more

This company sends poor quality employees to essentially sleep on your property. Their patrolmen seemed to be of a high caliber but cannot give my property the high visibilty protection it needs because of poorly equipped patrol cars that don't even have spotlights on them. I need my tenants to see clearly and prominantly marked patrol cars that are equipped to allow the guards to see all around my complexes. I need professional security officers to protect my assets not guards that are ""just good enough"". Shop around and if lowest price is all you care about, then maybe these guys will do the trick but if you want quality, keep shopping. more
