After leaving the Phoenix Art Museum, I was more inspired, relaxed and more passionate. I cannot begin to describe the great experiece this place had given me. The fact that this opportunity was not only inexpensive, and more than enough artworks to look at, I did not leave this place disappointed in any way. Out of all the pieces, there was one artwork that stood out the most and caught my eye immediately. Titled, ""Mass (Colder Darker Matter,) the artist Cornelia Parker used burnt pieces of wood (collected from a burned down church) and clear string for a medium. These strings dangled about twenty feet from the ceiling, creating a cube shape and the audience could see through this cube in many ways, from every angle. I think the metaphor of this piece was to appear as if it were shattering, maybe in the same ways the church had been shattered. What was cool about this piece, was that the audience could stand there and stare at it for a long period of time, trying to figure out its true meaning and inspiration. The entire visit left me wondering about this one piece of art, and I fully intend to go back and look at this piece again.
