the lady behind the desk is very unprofessional and not very nice to clients when they come into the clinic. I am not going to bring my cat here anymore even though the doctor is okay. I couldn't ask for a better vet! Dr. Doles is amazing, the vet techs are great with my dogs and the people up front are always helpful! I trust and value Dr. Doles opinion. He has always gone above and beyond for my fur babies and the rescues fur babies. more

I moved to Ohio a few years ago from NJ. I had a wonderful, trusted vet in Nj and was nervous about having to find a new one. We went to a vet with our new puppy and spent a lot of money for what we now know was unnecessary surgeries to "keep her healthy" and the visits and regular check ups were costly. We were referred to a second place where they forgot about me and while I was sitting there they called my cell phone to tell me that I was late. I had already checked in....\r Then a second referral sent us to Dr Doles and Pet Hospital. Each of the vets there, is kind and compassionate. They each took their time to talk to me and discuss whatever animal I had brought in...( 2 cats, 2 dogs)\r The staf was friendly and helpful. I think I like this place better than my NJ vet!!! more

Not all veterinarians are created equal, I have learned. Having run a no-kill shelter for years, I worked with a number of vets. Past bitter experiences have made me wary and cautious, while Dr. Doles has impressed me in every respect. He has earned my highest recommendation. more

I have written before concerning the care that my fur-kids receive at Pet Hospital of Willoughby. Just about an hour ago, I put Princess, my special little Sheltie to sleep to end her pain and suffering. I rescued her a little over 12 years ago when she was found with heart worm and was running the streets. At that time it was estimated she was 5 years old. This was so hard to do, but it was time and she let me know that. I gave her over to the tender care of Dr. David Eble and Shelly, the technician while I crossed her over to the Rainbow Bridge. They were so caring and so kind as they were a few years back when I had to do the same with my Bonnie Wee Lassie.\r \r All of the office staff were so comforting and made it so much easier for me. We have been blessed to have them take care of our babies since about 1992. Each of the vets, Dr. Joseph Doles, Dr. David Eble and Dr. Claudia Danforth are very knowledgeable and are caring for their patients and the patient's people. My thanks and g more

In the last year, we have had to put down our 15 1/2 year old pup & our cat and both times the crew was compassionate, timely, and caring. \r \r They sent wonderful cards and had the ashes ready for pick up immediately. I could see the concern on the desk staffs faces for our losses. \r \r Thanks for making a pet lover feel wanted. more

I am very happy with all of the docs, and Dr. Doles the owner is so compassionate with animals, even more so when there is a problem. He is patient and kind when an illness or injury comes up and he will take the time to explain the best way to handle the situation. He will even explain to me why he will treat my pet when he feels he knows what it is, instead of putting me through costly tests and still end up giving me the meds that do the trick in the first place. The Vet Techs are so good with my babies and always so gentle with them. The Office staff has always made themselves available to me whenever I call them. I am sorry about the situation of the one gal's mother. I cannot try to explain it, though I know they are open early in the morning to receive animals for surgery. The docs do not come in until later and I know they have to be present to euthanize a pet. I have been with them for over 20 years! Everyone is wonderful, caring and compassionate. I can't see anyone having a bad experience with the staff or the doctors. I would recommend them to anyone.All the doctors are caring, spending time to explain or answer questions.All the front office staff is helpful and courteous.Scott is fantastic as well.I love them all and wouldn't trust anyone else with my 4 legged family members. more

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Joseph Doles for over 17 years. He is great with animals and shows more compassion than any other Vet. They provide great care at reasonable prices. \r \r My dog was sick during New Years and Dr. Doles stayed with her until she was better and called me throughout the night to let me know how she was doing. He regularly checks up on his patients - he truly cares about animals.\r \r You won't find anyone better. more

My mother had an awful experience in this office having a first morning appointment to euthanize her dog and being made to wait three hours in the waiting room while other non- emergency clients were being seen.She was crying and obviously traumatized throughout the three hours and was purposely ignored by the office staff who made no effort to get her in sooner considering euthanasia takes 15 minutes.After retrieving the ashes of her beloved pet,the office called two weeks later for her to pick up the ashes once again demonstrating inefficiency and thoughtlessness.I continued taking my pet there because even though the office manager was nasty and the office staff cold, the doctors were good and my pet was comfortable with his vet.Any time I needed answers to test results or asked to be put on a call back list to speak to my vet, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing the office and had no rights to ask questions. We began taking our pets here years ago, and have gone through many pets since then. All of the staff is very kind and they even remember the pets! The office is very clean and the waiting room is spacious. The doctors and other staff spends a great deal of time with the patients and their owners. They offer great prices also. more

I have taken my dog Bailey there many many times and have gotten terrific service . The office staff are cordial and knowledgeable. The doctors, assistants and other staff members are wonderful with our dog and answering all of our questions. It is very clean and we have no qualms about leaving our dog there. more
