Let me first state that my wife and I are fond of Pepitos and we live in the neighborhood. This afternoon we decided to stop in for a late lunch and sit outside being that it was a beautiful day. My wife ordered a Mexican BBQ Pizza... which we have many times in the past. She found it entirely too spicy and could not eat it. I tasted it as well and as I like hot spicy food, this was too much. We told the server about it and after disappearing for at least 10 minutes, she returns and stated that her manager would only authorize a $3 discount, a $10.85 item. Server then stated that there have been alot of complaints lately and they have changed the Pico de Gallo, but still couldn't do anything more about it. We simply told her that this has already dictated the future. We chose not to tip and told her that Pepitos has her $7.85 tip. We will give one of our favorite restaurants a break for at least 8 months to see if anything changes. more

I love the _spicey_ pork burrito, enchillada style with cheese. And my wife absolutely loves the Grande Burrito. more

I went with some friends to Pepito's for margaritas - our little cocktail hour soon turned into some major noshing. Someone ordered the chips and queso and all bets were off. They were just so good, we had to have more. Then someone suggested dinner and before we knew it were sitting there blissfully full. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, someone ordered the fried ice cream. Oh my! Words fail me when I try to describe just how good it was. I've been to a few other places and ordered their fried ice cream to try to recapture that moment, only to be severely disappointed. So, from here on out I solemnly pledge to do right by my taste buds and only get my fried ice cream from Pepito's! more

Pepitos is always busy and the reason why is becuase it is some of the best mexican food in the city. Their smothered burrito is to die for and their con queso dip is an excellent addition to any meal. Make sure you wash it all down with a nice cold Corona. Be careful of the hot salsa, it will burn you if you have a delicate tongue. Check out the celebrity photos on the walls. more

Pepito's isn't authentic or americanized, its more in between. The menu is moderately priced with the special meals being better priced with lots of food. The tacos are enormous and the ground beef flavorful. But my favorite are the burritos. They are about 3 times the size of any Taco Bell Burrito and don't skimp on the fillers. This is a great restaurant to take your family to. more
