PAWS of Tulsa is a no kill pet facility that houses really good adoptable animals. They have a vet clinic there on the premises that gets the animals physically ready for adoption and are staffed by vets volunteering their time. Some of the animals are sent to live with foster families until a home is found for them and other animals stay at the shelter until they find a home for them. Either way you go, you will have plenty of selection to find that dog or cat that you just can't live without. Their adoption fees are around $75 or so but the animal is already spayed or neutered and has updated shots. more

Adopt a pet that's HEALTHY and well cared for 8/1/2005

PAWS rescues pets that were on their last day in the animal shelter... and puts them in "foster homes" until they can be adopted. Since they can't save all the animals, they choose only the ones that have the best chance of being adopted. So their dogs are cute and healthy. And since they're living with a foster family, they're less likely to have gotten sick from another dog. more
