I wish I could put zero stars. Besides being 1 hour over predicted delivery time, this food was disturbingly bad and very overpriced. The chimichanga we got was just a very greasy tortilla roll filled with ground beef. The Camarones Ixtapa had zero flavor. Somehow even the guac wasn't good, the Albondiguitas Soup was the only thing that didn't make me gag and it was very basic. more

No idea how this place even ranks above a 50% on Citysearch. Chips & salsa - basic Mexican and hard to goof up were cold, stale and greasy. Our dishes arrived at the table cold and were un-flavorful. Drinks were strong and service staff attentive and nice. Not a place I'll return to anytime soon. There are better options out there. more

This is probably a decent place for happy hour, where you are provided strong drinks at a good price, along with a festive environment. I would not recommend the restaurant for dinner/lunch. They need a new chef or to re-look at their recipes and/or get new staff on the kitchen line. I.e. the queso ""fundido"" appetizer seemed like it was grocery store shredded cheese from a bag that was placed in a microwave -- waxy, sloppy muck that couldn't even be scooped with a chip. The Sopas, tamales, and burrito were the other dinner items we ordered and they were mediocre at best. The restaurant wasn't busy and all of our food items arrived cool...no bubbling in the salsas or cheeses. Definitely not a place to go to satisfy Mexican food craving. The environment isn't clean either. Sorry. Thumbs down! Would not recommend this place to guests or friends. more

Not authentic. Tortillas and vegetables are store bought frozen. Tequila selection is amazing and the Margarita was good. Wouldn't recommend for eating, but a good place to get a drink. more

Great atmosphere, service has always been great except for tonight. Best chimichanga and nachos I've ever had. The pachanga margarita is amazing as well. This place still continues to be my favorite Mexican restaurant! more

Paquitos's Mexican is one of my favorite restaurants in Miami because it has a comfortable, pleasant, and colorful environment. It makes authentic and delicious Mexican food. I love it! more

I can't even think about this place without smiling. Maybe it's the pitchers of frozen margheritas we've consumed there. Maybe its the south of the border decor. Maybe its the mole verde, or the best-in-class salsa. Maybe its the pensionista mariachi singers. Seems like they replaced the one who was either permanently sloshed or just couldn't play guitar with someone who can, but it's still a blast. Love it love it love it. A North Dade institution. more

The manager/owner did not honor our Groupon that we had purchased. He said that it can't be combined with other "specials" which was NOT stated on the Groupon. The only thing that was posted was a note on the highly decorated door that used bad grammar and stated "attention staff"- I'm a patron not a staff member, so why would I read this? We contacted Groupon and they were not happy with him not honoring it because the stipulations were not clear. The food was not worth the agrivation and the rude owner or manager. Our group will never go back again! more

SUPPA YUMMY; open til 11 PM on a Monday; I got the Mole Verde. Delicious! Might be spicy for real light weights. :) waiter was awesome and very nice, professional and fast. There is an odd guy at the front door with a bow tie who doesn't stop staring. Good thing he was just a life size paper cut out! (See earlier reference for cheap booze above). more

I pulled up to Pauito's after having seen their high rating on Urbanspoon. As I walked in I noticed masses of North Miami Police officers coming into and coming from the place - I was sure this was a good sign... Not so!\r \r The restaurant had better decor than expected, the service was fantastic, but the food... The food was disappointing to say the least.\r \r I got the Pacuca, a combination plate with a beef taco (fast food quality beef), a cheese enchilada (more a unprepared General Mill's Old El Paso tortilla filled with cheese and covered with cheap store bought enchilada sauce) and a tamale. The tamale was the best part of the meal, and it was mediocre at best.\r \r I will not be going back, try Chéen Huaye instead! more

Great fun place for bithday or other celebration. Good drink specials. Great for a crowd. Food is so-so; lots better Mexican restaurants in town. But, who cares if you're having fun? Great way to start a tequila-fueled weekend with friends! more

The food is so good, even if the service is a little off at times (I get the same server every time i go, like a curse) it does not deter me. The steak burrito has to be my favorite along with flautas (and the margaritas). more
