Pantry Door

I have visited this story on many occasions and have never had anything other than a great experience. The staff was always patient when answering my questions and very helpful in providing recommendations along with a rationale for their suggestion. The store has quite a variety of items that I think you would be hard pressed not to find the item you are looking for. It may not be the brand you are after but I have to believe they would have something very comparable. I will admit that many of their items will cost more than you might be used to paying, but all the items I purchased are very high quality that you really cannot get in this area. So on a quality to quality comparison I think their prices are very good. I just purchased a pan that I believe cost less than a comparable one that I was thinking about getting. By the way the staff showed me the pan I eventually purchased, gave a brief explanations about it as well as some things to consider and then after being sure I did not have any further questions left me so I could decide. During this visit as with all previous visits the staff I spoke to were very knowledgeable about the products. Not just the claims made by the company but seemed to have had personal experience with using them. I have been to many stores like this where you could purchase similar items but I think that the assistance the staff provided to me really insured I was buying something that did fit the need as I described it. So maybe I paid a bit more (I do not believe I did) but if I did it still is cheaper than buying something that does not work and you have to go buy something else to really get what you need. more

Whenever I go into the Pantry Door, I am inspired to cook and bake, as if I were an award winning chef! The service and knowledge goes above and beyond. They aren't your "cookie cutter" kitchen store, they are the best! The offer a variety of products, from cookie sheets, baking supplies to top of the line pots and pans. I highly recommend this store! more

As the owner of The Pantry Door, I am disappointed to hear the comments about snooty staff. I can say I have replaced some staff that didn't meet our goals and I hope you find the service better. Our goal is to carry quality merchandise at good prices. You will find us on par with the leading kitchen stores such as Williams Sonoma, etc. We also want you to return so we never push merchandise on you that doesn't fit your needs just to make a sale. We continually add new items and have some very loyal customers who say they love shopping with us because of the service. The entire reason I opened the store is for the service of a small store compared to the large impersonal chains. Give us a try and you will be pleased. more

The Pantry Door offers a wide array of kitchen gadgets. It is really a neat little store, and I would highly rate it if not for the snooty staff that makes it seem as though you're shopping on Rodeo Drive rather than a small PA town. The prices are a little high, but the items do seem good quality. They also offer cooking classes. If you can get by the snooty attitude of the staff, I'd say it's worth a look. more
