HELP ME STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM CAUSEING ANYOTHERS THE PAIN THEY HAVE CAUSED ME. 2/17/2009

i am looking for others who have had very very bad treatment from this company and the doctors working under this medical association. i have been under their care for over 10 years and was completely taken off meds without reason other than i do not have insurance, which is the only reason i can figure out. i may be confined to a wheelchair due to thier treatment to me and the heartlessness of their nurses made me decide to fight this, i need as many people who have had bad experencies with PAIN MANAGEMENT OF TULSA. please contact me so that i can stop these people from doing anything else to others who are in my condition.. to say the least, i am scared and was just going end the pain myself but decided that it would be better to stop this from happening to someone else... so i am, you can notify me thur this sight by leaving your name and email address, i need as many people as i can get.. thanks for you time.. oh, DON'T GO HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BECOME LEGALLY ADDICTED AND THEN BE REMOVED AS A PATENT IN 1 DAY AND DEAL WITH IT ON YOUR OWN WITH NO HELP AT ALL, EVEN AFTER 10 YEARS OF BEING ON THE STRONGEST MEDS THEY PRESCIBE. THE DOCTOR WON'T EVEN CALL TO LET YOU KNOW IT IS HIM TAKING YOU OFF THE MEDICATION., I BELIEVE WITHOUT QUESTION THAT IT WAS THE NURSE.. AND THAT THE DOCTORS MAY NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED BUT THEY WORK UNDER THEM AND THE DOCTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THEY DO AND SAY TO THE PATIENTS.. one of these docotors left the orginal association and either started this one or was able to join the group when his treatment for a well know coach came into question when he was drunk and caused a very bad accident.. it was almost immediately when the doctor left the old group and went with the other. CHECK OUT ALL DOCTORS BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR LIFE IN THIER HANDS.. I WILL FROM NOW ON... if i can make it thur this, i can't live in the pain i will have to go thur... it can take up to 3 years to detox on dermeral if you have medical issues. Pros: until now, was treated well, don't know why they did this to me Cons: try and find another way from taking this route, i wish i had more

Thankful for Dr. Anthony and Pain Management 2/10/2009

I would not hesitate to say that Dr. Anthony and staff have done everything in their power to improve the quality of my husband's life after 2 back surgeries and complications. He listens to what is going on with my husband, is concerned about its effect on his overall health and on the family, and works with us to try every possible way to reduce the pain without resorting to stronger and stronger medications. I would and have recommend him to others and am so thankful he is there for us. Pros: location, parking, friendly and caring staff more

Where is Dr. Anthony? 1/6/2009

I've always been treated great by all the doctors here. I just made a follow-up appointment and found out Dr. Anthony is no loner practicing. Does anyone know where he is, or did something happen? Pros: Kind, caring staff that educates you more

Caring Doctors - Great Staff 8/5/2008

I became interested in leaving a review as I had found a printed review from HOTSHOE,in Dr. Morris' office. The review was listed on 6/6/2008 and it wasnt a nice one.I was surprised to find it printed in the office but it was.I'm my 40's with severe joint damage from Systemic Lupus.I have also had 2 massive strokes.I suffer from kidney disease.I'm glad to have medication that allows me to sleep,to get away from the pain when it is at its worst.I know,I would die quickly if I wasn't allowed to take these painkillers. My pain is severe. Before I became sick,I hardly took medication as I hated taking pills, even birth control.I'm educated as is my husband who is a pharmacist. Pros: Great Staff, Good Doctors, Nice Facility Cons: There is not one from my point of view more

Is it just me........? 6/6/2008

OR DOES IT SOUND LIKE THE LOVELY SUPPORT STAFF HAVE WRITTEN THE MAJORITY OF THE ""GLOWING"" REVIEWS POSTED CONSECUTIVELY ON THIS SITE? IF ONLY THE STAFF COULD BE AS COMPLIMENTARY WITH REGARD TO THEIR PATIENTS, FABRICATED REVIEWS MAY NOT BE NECESSARY TO OFFSET THE NEGATIVE. With regard to the ""junkies"" comment, Pain Management of Tulsa, all doctors included, have CREATED their fair share of junkies and these are the people that keep them in business. Every staff member that I myself have encounterd has a primary job goal or purpose: TO WRITE, FILL, REFILL, MAIL, FAX, OR CALL IN NARCOTICS IN LARGE QUANTITIES! And if thier job is not related to this, thier sole purpose is to bill each patient or thier insurance companies, or to set routine appointments to keep thier patients coming back for more. These are NARCOTICS, some of which do provide pain relief in a short, safe, and effective way for acute pain. But the majority of the money-making patients are chronic pain sufferers, most of whom eventually come to the realization that the original medical issue that brought them through the door (often at the referral of some well-intentioned, random PCP) becomes back seat to the ever-so common, but not so-tolerated, ""tolerence,"" that is built up over time for ANY PATIENT who decides to remain in a pain management plan for any significant length of time, whether here or otherwise. Pay money, get a script, pay money get a script, pay money, get a script, but this time, get a script with an attitude, because patient a or b has suddenly developed an unacceptable, BUT INEVITABLE tolerance to their prescribed narcotic, many of which are in fact stronger than, and harder to rid the body of, than street herion. At this point it becomes a subjective call upon the physician, trickling down through the staff, as to whether or not this individual patient needs a dosage increase or, the fact that they realize that they have created the so-called ""junkie"" that they so despise. Pros: The girl who takes your money is nice. Cons: The other girls. Learn quickly that these people are the only ones who have seen ur chart. Oh and they have pill power. What's that? Call to interrupt their day and u will find out. more

You are ignorant! 5/19/2008

Hotshoe, you really don't know what you're talking about when you say these reviews have been written by the staff. I am a real live patient with real problems that you know nothing about. So are the other people who have left messages. It is small minded of you to belittle our comments by assuming that because we like and appreciate Dr. Anthony, that we must be fake. I am appalled by people like you. There have been major advances in pain management that I, for one, am incredibly grateful for. They have allowed my mother to function and be a whole person again. She is not addicted to the medication, in fact she actually decreases the dose everytime she can. Some people have very addictive tendencies and those people have my sympathy. It is not entirely the doctor's fault though. You have to know yourself well enough to know when to stop and when to ask for help. Pros: Location, Parking, Wait Time, Clinic Cons: Sometimes the staff can seem a little uncaring. more

Caring, Compassionate Pain Management 4/7/2008

Dr. Scott Anthony has been my pain management physician for over 8 years. I am also a registered nurse. I have found Dr. Anthony and his staff to be caring and compassionate with all my concerns. He always gives me all the time I need to explain any problems I might be having. He has done multiple procedures for me and has always been very attentive and a patient advocate. His staff are very efficient in scheduling appointments, processing refill requests and billing of my insurance company. I would recommend Dr. Anthony to anyone who truly needs pain management, but if you are just wanting a doctor to rubber-stamp a prescription for stong narcotics without any regard for your welfare then I would suggest that you find someone else. Dr. Anthony has no problem giving you what you really need but does NOT tolerate people who abuse their prescriptions. more

Dr. Anthony was wonderful 10/19/2007

All I know is my experience, I recently had back surgery and was in the hospital for 6 days. This is my third surgery after being destroyed by Dr. Anagnost. I was very scared and nervous to go through it again, but the pain is so herrendous I had no other choice. I couldnt live this way anymore. Dr. Covington was the surgeon of my third surgery and he was also wonderful!! Dr. Anthony was by my side every time i woke up or turned around he was there making sure I was ok, I even cried to him several times and he was nothing but an absolute gentlemen and comforting and professional!! I went through the worst experiences before, with the prior doctor and I am absolutely thankful to have found Dr. Covington and Dr. Anthony. I just cant say enough good things about both of them. I remember the morning of the surgery I was in tears almost left the hospital I was scared to death the same thing was going to happen again and although I researched Dr. Covington and Dr. Anthony and found nothing but good about both of them. Still I was scared to death, anyway if someone else is going through the same hell I have went through. Rest assured you are in excellent hands. I honestly feel as though I owe them my life for the miracles they were able to perform on me although not all the pain is gone, I can sleep sometimes almost all night and havent been able to do that since before i met the butcher Anagnost. Pros: He actual cares!! Polite, considerate, and made sure I was completely comfortable definitely knows what hes doing with the medicine. Cons: I am so nit picky and have not one single complaint or even gripe about this man. He truly is wonderful and really cares for your well being. more

Dr. Scott Anthony reviews 10/7/2007

I agree that Tulsa girl may be an ex employee and if not, she's certainly trying to discredit a very professional re: Dr. Anthony. How do I know? My daughter works with him nearly every day and she believes he is one of the most caring and thorough doctors she's ever met... My daughter is a registered nurse and would not approve of any doctor that treated his patients, staff, etc. without respect and compassion... I would highly recommend Dr. Anthony and think Tulsa girl is only pursuing a grudge for some reason and it's sad she has chosen to attack a Dr. who is way above most others re: credibility. Pros: Great bedside manner, thorough in his procedures, very knowledgeable re: pain management more

BEST PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR!!!! 9/29/2007

I used to work for Dr. Anthony, he is wonderful and has a great bedside manner. As far as him having tantrums like a two year old.. well, he does get upset VERY UPSET when patients missuse their medications. Who could blame him, he is there to help people and when they don't want to do what he recommends whats a man to do? If I ever need a pain management doctor I wouldn't think twice about who I would call! DR ANTHONY!!! more

A wonderful Doctor 8/20/2007

I was appauled by the previous posting by Tulsagirl, Dr. Scott Anthony is a great doctor who really cares about his patients who are in chronic pain. My husband has been a patient of his for 8 years and he always has time for us and answer any and all questions. I would recommend anyone to him. So, maybe Dr. Anthony is better off without a patient who thinks they way that she does about him. Pros: He is great with his patients and answers all questions Cons: You may have a wait time, but he is well worth the wait more

again I say... good doctor 5/14/2007

The last post is more funny to me than anything. Maybe this person got hooked on the meds? Maybe they were misusing them? Thats the ONLY reason a doctor would cut off someone else's meds. And to think its the nurse? really? are you serious? If this person were cut off, its probably because they are getting them from another doctor! (you know its REALLY easy to find out!) So he knew that this person would be fine! and 9 times out of 10 they give you a supply to get you thru until you find another doctor. So good luck with ruining his image! I dont think it will work! more

Verbal Abusive Doctor 4/18/2007

The Doctor is rude to his staff, his patients, and has temper tantrums of a two year old. Cons: verbal abusive more
