THE WORST!!!!!! 12/30/2010

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. Brenda Peterson is a poor excuse for a business owner, caring nothing about the clients. The front desk is certainly a reflection of her attitude as well. I had a brochure with NOTHING stated in in regarding an expiration date, with a card attached with a glue dot which was not removed for fear of loss until time of use only to find out it was expired. Speaking to her did no good, she not only lost my business, there are a lot of spas to choose from, but my daughters, my son's and every person I can tell. I also will rate her on BBB, contact FOX news and other avenues to warn others to never frequent a place of this caliber EVER. I vote with my pocketbook, you should do likewise. more

Horrible Place and Service 12/30/2010

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Trust the reviews and go to another spa like Tranquility. For the price you can easily find a 5 star place that gives you the same treatment for the same cost with 10 times better customer support and service. The service and staff over the years has declined over the years. If you have a great experience it is because it is your first time. Try a second - it is a disaster. You try to speak to Brenda speak to Brenda Peterson, the owner and she could care about a customer. The front desk clerk was not friendly and the owner has completely forgot what it is to be in a service environment. There are several other spas in the area that I would go to that have better services. Oh, and the pedicure I received was by a girl who had more polish on my feet than on my toes. more

WONDERFUL PLACE/EXPERIENCE 11/7/2010

Upon entrance, the spa is beautiful throughout. There are far more amenities than other spas provide for the same price. Everyone was nice and the message therapist listened to what I wanted. It is a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone. Also, for those complaining about expiration of gift cards you are absurd. That is a common practice throughout many industries (like restaurants). The owner's are not trying to steal your money it is for accounting purposes and the difficulty it arises with keeping accurate books. Don't believe me take an intro level accounting class that's where I learned this tid bit. more

HORRIBLE customer service!!!!! 8/29/2010

Some friends purchased me a $100 gift card to Oasis Day Spa and I misplaced it. I called to see if Oasis could help me and they said they could not. I later found it and called for an appt. and Brenda Peterson, Manager/Owner, said it had expired by 2 weeks and refused to honor the gift card. Incredible!!!! After reading the other reviews, I guess I am not missing much!!!!!!!! more

BURNED FEET & DISGUSTING STAFF! 4/4/2010

I only wish I had read other customer reviews before I made an apt to go to Oasis. Unfortunately, I had a gift cert to use up so I went anyway. ONLY TO FIND OUT that my gift card expired. They told me the only way I could have known if my card expired was on the ""brochure"" my husband received when he purchased the card. Odd how the exp date wasn't apparent on the card itself- and, why would a gift card for services need to expire? Talk about a rip off scheme. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't told my card expired until after I had already started a pedicure. Needless to say that pedicure was the worst I have EVER had in my life! Just like others commented in their personal reviews- the Oasis staff are tattood, pierced and hard-looking women. They would rather be out on a smoke break than offering personalized service. They don't even look clean. The person who performed my pedicure started out scorching my feet in extremely hot water! She never even tested the heat until my feet were fried. Even the Oasis employee working on another customer commented how my feet looked like I had red socks on. Even after an hour after the apt my feet still looked sun burned. No apologies from the tech or from the store manager. As I showed my feet to the rest of the staff at Oasis they were all speechless. NEVER have I ever been burned with a pedicure or dealt with such unprofessional people. Spa treatments are to be calming and relaxing- I guarantee you will not relax at Oasis Day Spa. For the price you can go elsewhere to be treated like a special customer- not abused with inexperienced staff. This company does not deserve to remain in business. Go anywhere but Oasis. PLEASE TAKE THESE REVIEWS SERIOUS- THEY ARE HONEST. Cons: Unprofessional, dirty & inexperienced more

Neighbor to Oasis 1/30/2010

We don?t like Oasis. The owner has decided to use our neighborhood as an Oasis parking lot. The owner ignores complaints from the neighborhood about their parking issues, there have been a hundreds of complaints over the years. Pros: OASIS is a bad neighbor Cons: Turning our neighborhood into a parking lot more

Happy Regular 9/14/2009

I go to this spa frequently and have been going for at least a year now. I get massages weekly, and mani/pedi's or facials about once a month. The reason I keep coming back is because well, I found two wonderful massage therapists that just save me from muscle pain, and because I have been pleased overall with the other services. I've learned whom to avoid (Angela is sweet but not so good at nails, & a certain aesthetician needs a breathmint) and whom to return to (Brian and Kate are very good at deep tissue massage.) Overall, my mani/pedi's have been relaxing and last a long time. There are two manicurists that gossip and interfere with the atmosphere but I have only experienced them once. The front desk are all polite and generally pleasant. One or two forget to say hello or thanks for coming, but noone has ever been rude to me, ever. The facials and waxing are also good. Overall, I am happy with this spa and plan to return. For the price and atmosphere this is a good deal that I recommend. Pros: Great massages Cons: inconsistent nail and front desk service more

Front desk needs improving 8/24/2009

I called in just trying to make an appt. for both a facial and pedicure... The front desk wasn't very helpful at all, they asked me what time would work for me when I gave them that information ( late morning ) they said they could but would have to cut the pedicure by 15 mins. (but no cut on the cost) I asked what time would I need to come in on a Thursday so I could get both done .. they couldn't accomidate me unless I want to cut a time down on one or the other services .. I wasn't asking for a full complete package just a facial and pedicure .. very upsetting more

Awesome massages! BAD receptionist & facials! 5/9/2009

Well the massages are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! They have very talented people! The receptionist is just a b****! She is SO RUDE! Doesn't even smile! I am serious, I don't even know why they have her and have not fired her already! Pros: Massages Cons: Rude Receptionist & facials! more

Great service 4/22/2009

I was fairly new to the spa experience and decided to give Oasis Spa in Arvada a try. I had seen the previously written negative reviews about the front desk staff and decided to give the spa a try. Giving this business a try was the best decision I've made in a while. I have been there twice to get a monthly massage and it will now be a monthly appointment. The facility is very clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating and just a relaxing environment. I have confronted the staff about the previous opinions concerning their unfriendly staff. The criticism was taken with great concern and they appreciated my candor. I believe everyone at the spa is committed to creating a great environment. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for a relaxing experience. Pros: Relaxing environment and friendly staff more

Horrible Facials 2/3/2009

I have had facials once a month for years. This was my first and last trip to Oasis Day Spa in Arvada. I was given a gift card for Christmas so I thought I would try it out. I was very disappointed. They did not ask about my skin, what medications I was taking, what I wanted to achieve nothing. I ended up having a terrible allergic reaction to the papaya mask. The person doing the facial left the room, why I have no idea, and when she returned my skin was burned. She did not show me what my skin looked like or even offer to show me in a mirror. I found out when I went downstairs to the locker room. I complained at the front desk and they agreed something went very wrong but did nothing to help not even offering suggestions to correct the damage. They said they would have the owner call me two days later. She called me and proceeded to tell me I was so relaxed I must have forgotten the questions they asked me. I could not believe she thought I was so stupid as to believe that. A warning for people with sensitive skin you will likely get burned like I did. They do not follow up with customers or care about the experience I had. I called the spa I normally go to and they were able to give me suggestions as to how to correct the problem. It has been 4 days and I can tell you that my skin is still burnt but finally healing. more

The BEST place to start getting a massage for men & women 1/31/2009

This place is very clean & quite it's great to just come in and unload all the daily stress life gives you. I have been getting massages for about 10 years and guys let me tell you this is the best place to come. Remember ask Q? if its your 1st time. Some helpful tips bring swim trunks & pool shoes and show up early to enjoy the steam room, dry sauna & huge hot tub about 45 minutes before your massage. It may take 2 to 3 visits before you find the right Massage Therapists but once you do you will be hooked. You will find that 1 hour just isnt long enough. Melissa does a great job as do all the others but shes my favorvite! Remember its Quite Time if you must talk keep it to a Whisper!! so others can enjoy there time. Best value for the money any where!!!!! Pros: Best value for your money & body Cons: Hour & half massage not long enough more

Everything great except for front desk. 10/21/2008

I'm writing this review in hopes that Oasis Management will make a change. I've been going to Oasis day spa for a while but just now saw the reviews for the place. I have to say I completely agree with the last two people who gave just one star. The front desk people are terrible! They just have no people skills whatsoever, they're unpleasant, and not friendly at all. All the times I've been there, i don't think I've ever seen one of them smile! Even when they leave me confirmation messages about my upcoming appointments, they rush through what they're saying and i can barely understand them. It seems as if they are only there to have a job and could care less about what they do. The mind as well be chomping on some bubble gum and filing there nails, they're that bad! more

Beautiful Spa, Good Massage, Terrible nail salon, Rude receptionist 6/19/2008

I couldn?t agree more about the rude receptionist. She was rude both on the phone and in person. The place is beautiful, very clean, and reasonably priced. The water room and bathrooms are very nice. My massage was really wonderful, one of the best I have ever had. On the other hand, it was the WORST manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The girl who did my nails really seemed like she did not know what she was doing, but she said she had worked there for 5 years. She was nice and friendly, but also patronizing. She took forever, and not in a relaxing and enjoyable kind of way. My nails were all uneven, and she used way too much polish so it never dried. She kept asking if I liked it, which just made the situation more uncomfortable. I had a hard time picking a star rating for this spa. I chose the worst in hopes that they would notice and improve. I would never go back to this nail salon. I would go back for a massage, but only if a more friendly and helpful receptionist answered the phone. Pros: Massage, Water Room, Location, Price Cons: Nail Salon, Receptionist more

Person on the phone was rude, and snooty. 5/27/2008

I have not yet experienced the spa, I called to schedule a pedi, mani and lunch for myself and my granddaughter (I am treating my graddaughter for her 13th birthday). I am hoping the experience will be awesome. I almost decided not to schedule the appt. with Oasis Spa because the person who was scheduling our appt. was snooty and rude. I am now leary as to wether or not to keep the appt or cancel and go to a spa I have used numerous times in the past. Since I am treating my granddaughter for her birthday I really want this to be very special and memorable for her. I have heard great things about this spa, but again the person who I spoke to on the phone was short, rude and snooty. I Cons: Person I spoke to when making the appt was not friendly. She was rather rude and snooty more

Oasis Take Me Away!!!! 2/11/2008

I've been going with a good friend of mine now for 6 months. We treat ourselves once a month to special time of pampering. For what you get the prices are reasonable. I've not been disappointed so far and I've been working down the list to accomplish the goal of experiencing each and every combination. Like anywhere there are different personalities you will encounter but stick with it till you find the lady that does it just like you like it! Enjoy! more

Watch for IT! You may miss this wonderland.... 11/18/2006

Yes, this spa can be easily missed but is well worth the search! It is truly a wonderful experience, if you are looking for a ""relaxing experience"", I cannot recommend them enough! The spa far exceeded my expectiations and provided a wonderul experience, right down to the wonderful terry slippers! more

Great value, but only good massage (7/10) 2/23/2006

This is by far the cheapest choice in the top 10 massages in town; the real bargain is being able to use the spa both before and after the massage!! My masseuse was Kelly; a very wonderful, warm, open woman with pretty good hands -- but can't ""bring the heat"" if you need a lot of pressure; I should know -- I asked her 3 times and it never got harder than about a 5 or 6/10. Still, her dedication to service and desire to make the customer happy should definitely be rewarded. You get plush terry robes and soft towels to wear around the spa area, which consists of a hot tub, a dry sauna and a *great* steam room. Somewhat small-ish in size, but long on making you feel comfortable. Desk staff was gone about 5 minutes after I finished filling out a form, which was slightly annoying. Pros: inexpensive, nice spa area Cons: desk staff runs off more

Buggie 12/2/2004

This spa is unpretentious on the outside and very warm and comfortable on the inside. Every service I have had is wonderful. The ""water room"" is absolutely great!! more
