I wanted to take the time to thank you and your staff for the quality car repair and maintenance services that you have provided me these past 5 years. I'm a Singaporean working in downtown Austin and have decided to return home in early January 2008 to help run the family business. I've lived in many big cities - Los Angeles, London, New York - and Austin has been an outstanding chapter in my life - a wonderful city to play, work, learn and grow. Over the years, in inconspicuous yet noteworthy ways, you and your staff have contributed to my memories of Austin; and you are one of the reasons I will proudly share my adventures in Texas with my friends. Thanks again for helping me get my daughter's ""new"" used Audi A4 on the road to Arizona last week. I sincerely appreciate the efficiency, integrity, and professionalism you (and Craig) exhibited. Being a stranger in town and needing car repairs is always a frightening situation, but it turned out to be an overwhelmingly positive experience. Highly recommend! Professional and Personable! 9/29/2010

I have a CLK 500 and took it to a dealer once and didn't leave it even then for the prescribed maintenance. I was told by the dealer's service dept. that I needed a new Bose system, special order from Dallas at a tune of over $1200.00. This wasn't correct! Within a few days, the system began to work great, and has for the two ensuing years, with no service fees! more

Consistent excellent service and fair prices 8/11/2009

We're nursing along a couple of older Camrys, and Northwest maintenance lets us have dependable transportation at far less cost than car payments. The one time we had a problem with a repair, they cheerfully took it back and fixed it further, even putting in more parts, while refusing further payment from us. Good people, good service 8/10/2009

We took our Lexus to them after the 3/25/09 hail storm for work on our engine. They were able to take care of our problems within 1 business day, and at 1/2 the cost of the NW Austin Lexus dealership. Staff is very friendly. Pros: pricing very reasonable more

Terrible Customer Service and even worst knowledge 11/19/2008

This is a great place to have a tail light repaired but thats about it. We took are car in and the mechanic "thought" it was one thing and almost charged us $5000 to have it fixed. We pulled the vehicle out of there took it to the dealership where they knew the exact problem at the cost was ONLY $600. Customer service was TERRIBLE!!! We had to constantly call for updates. No one ever called to tell us what was going on with our car. The information on my receipt was even incorrect. TRUST ME DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! Pros: can repair ahead light Cons: everything else more

First impression not a good one. 7/18/2008

I had an appointment for 2:30 in the afternoon to have a headlight replaced. Something I was told over the phone should take about 30 minutes. I was delayed getting there because of an accident on the highway ahead of me. I called to say that I would be late but could be there before 3, would that be a problem? The answer was that they wouldn't be able to get to my car today because they weren't very busy and the techs were going to go home. I could try bringing it in on Monday morning though. I can understand if you don't have appointments on the book but when you have a customer call to give you business and they are turned away and told to try again another day...The last thing it made me want to do was try again. I was disappointed because they had been so highly recommended by a friend but I will have the repairs done somewhere else. more

Excellent Customer Service and Repair 3/3/2008

I was extremely satisfied with my experience at NW Imports. My VW Jetta TDI's timing belt broke, and the engine repair was going to be very expensive. I researched various shops around Austin and found NW Imports to be the best choice. The customer service was excellent- they (especially Joe) answered all of my questions and gave me a very fair price for the repairs. The final bill was significantly less than what I was quoted at the VW dealership, and NW even did additional maintenance. My car is running great now, and I have NW Imports to thank. I am very disappointed with Northwest imports 1/13/2008

I brought my nissan sentra 1994 to northwest imports 3 months ago. My battery light was on and there was a rattling sound coming out from the battery. Instead recommending me to change the alternator, they told me to change my switch. After they fixed my switch, i found out that the problem still persisted, and thus they recommended to change my alternator. Pros: They informed you what need to be fixed and told you the total cost before fixing anything Cons: Poor performance more

I just wanted to express my appreciation for the way my car is taken care of. It is a comfort to know when I need to bring my Honda in that the same mechanic will be working on it. Best Foreign Repair Shop in Austin 9/23/2006

I have been a customer for five years. I think they are the best foreign car repair shop in town. I don't trust my car to anyone else. There has never been a problem that they could not resolve in a fair and timely manner. more

I want to thank you folks for taking such great care of our cars, and for being so patient. I appreciated you rebalancing the wheels on the Audi without any hesitation, and staying late to diagnose and repair the fuel injector problem with the Fox. I recommend you to friends without any hesitation as I know you are honest, thorough, and willing to take the time to explain the details to us non-mechanics. more

have been a customer of Northwest Imports for over 7 years. I feel that they have always treated me with fairness and integrity, something that can be pretty rare in the auto repair business. They stand behind their work 100%. I firmly believe that you get what you pay for and Northwest Imports is a good value. more

Best Import Auto Service in Austin by far! 9/19/2006

I have a '92 VW Jetta with more than 165,000 miles on the clock which still operates like new, thanks to the guys at Northwest Imports. I bring it in to them on an annual basis for a"yearly check-up" where they perform any routine maintenance that it needs (I change my own oil using AMSOIL Synthetic which they also carry). David, Anthony, and Steve, have always been honest and "up front" with any repairs performed. With the professionalism and quality of work they have performed for me and my VW, I will not take my car anywhere else. Thanks Northwest, for providing the best Import automotive service in Austin. more
