Best snowboard /surf shop, super nice people! 1/22/2007

I live out San Bernardino and I would drive out there to buy my gear each year. The staff there was super cool and very knowledgeable. They know their hardgoods and you always get the best deals at Nine Star. They totally hook you up. They have a cool membership store credit program. I bought a snowboard there, got free lift tickets, and they wax your board and fix it for free everytime I bring it in. Now I buy my surf stuff there and they take care of me the same way. Best customer service ever. And I know they always have fun events there all the time and a lot of free giveaway specials. Best snowboard / surf shop by far. I love that place! more

Damn, we need a Nine Star in every city 10/15/2005

Hands down the coolest retail store in the country. Skateboards, surfboards, snowboards, bikes, and a selection of clothing you would not expect to find anywear else. This place was more of a hang-out than a store. They have a skatepark out front, a big screen TV with x-box going and a jukebox with actualty awesome music. I heard about the place beacuse of an Art show they were having there, ya thats right an art show. I can't say enough good things about this store. I'm originaly from Orange County so I know a thing or two about boardshops, and let me say this, Nine Star could open it's doors right next to Jacks and HSS and blow them away in everything from customer service to boards... Pros: selection, customer service, fun more

Ive never seen so many skateboards at any skate shop period. So many to choose from. Good clothing and big shoe section.... a+++ in my book. more

Best Skate SHop in LA 5/24/2005

they have everything you would ever want. And even if they don't they get it for you. I wanted some nike's and they didn't have my size, so the next day I get a call, turns out they whent out and got my size for me and then dropped it by my house. After that my Mom fliped out and now all she ever does is buy me stuff at NIne STar. Oh and they have a mini skate park out front and a video game station so some times I go there just to hang out... Pros: Selection, Staff, Events Cons: Needs an OC Location more

Best BMX Store in LA 2/13/2005

This is by far the best BMX store in the LA area. Tons of rider owned company products and bikes. Excellent and friendly staff, who is always willing to help out. When I wanted a part that they did not have in stock, they ordered it for me no problem. Skate and bike videos are always playing in the store and they encourage the kids to actually hang out at the shop. They even have a mini ramp out in front of the store for their customers to ride.
