I found the school via internet and I got all the info I needed right on the site versus other schools I had to call and they wanted me to set up appt. which was inconvenient since im from Virginia. more

Good teacher. I'm french and I think he was very patient with me. When I visit the school, I have a good feeling and the person who explained me the bartending was clear, simple and didn't compare with other schools bartending. for me, it was a real experience I really liked it. more

NY bartending school has trained me well 10/11/2006

New York Bartending School clearly was the most professional setup and after hearing horror stories from other schools, I found the tuition well worth a few extra dollars to get quality. I would definitely recommend new york bartending school to any of my friends. The 2 week course was a blast, but I would say going through speed drills and realizing ""I can do this"" - not in 6 minutes, or even 5 but in 4 minutes. My instructor was very friendly, outgoing and has the perfect personality to make learning a fun experience. He not only knows drinks, he knows how th real world operates. NYBS has trained me well and made it fun! more

Don't Believe The Hype!! Great self-promotion, zero job placement 10/9/2006

you have got to hand it to these guys. They have over 200 reviews posted here, all of them taken right out of their own pamphlet copy, all of them science fiction. If they spent as much time trying to get the students jobs as they do writing reviews for themselves they might be worth the disgraceful price they charge to have out of work bartenders teach out of work students who are going to stay out of work. When you go there it looks great, everything is brand new, they put on a great presentation, and they are world-class slick advertisers and manipulators of websites like this, but the truth is they have not been in business long compared to other schools, and this publicity blitz will eventually collapse like a house of cards for one reason: they don't find anyone jobs. I don't need to pay seven hundred dollars to be given the want ads from the village voice. Be very careful. Pros: good sales staff and promotion Cons: overpriced, inadequate job contacts more

New York Bartending School is the best in NY - based on a research I've done. I got a great education - I've learned more than I expected. Especially about spirits and wine. But also it gave me confidence I needed to start working as a bartender - confidence I couldn't get just from reading a ""Bartender's Bible"" more
