Best

My son was with New a view from age 4- 8 years old. We had nothing but great experiences with them. Everyone was friendly and always professional. I'm not sure where these claims ...

Worst

Generally when I write a review I take my time and put a generous amount of detail. However, THIS agency is an easy one to describe. I've talked to many many people about New View...

Some of these reviews are too much. I took classes at New View after I was convinced that I could be a model. Lol who am I kidding, I am a model. I receive photo shoot offers monthly.... No thanks to this agency. I paid $1500 to this agency for nothing. Lesson learned. I went through 18 weeks of classes. It took me some time to finish these said classes because I am a full time college student juggling 2 full time jobs but, I finished the classes. At the end of the classes you have to go through an interview with Chester, the owner. Chester decides if you get the contract lol the wanna be contract! The interview was not even 1 on 1. I was in a room with 3 other girls. I was horrible during my interview. Needless to say every girl in the interview was offered a contract. Reading the contract was fun, it basically stated that you are not promised work, if you were offered work then you had to give them 20% of your compensation. If you receive any work at all then they had to dig into your Money first....as if 1500 for classes were not enough. Not to mention they also charge you for your comp card. They also do not mention that you have a month to sign the contract.... Lol they limit the your time to sign the contract. If you don't sign the contract in time then you are not allowed to have another chance to sign one and you just paid $1500 for nothing. This place is a waste of your time. Unless you are 6 ft and 100 pounds, don't believe anything they say to you. They find the most gullible people and people with low self esteem to attack and convince. more

I am the mother of a 20 year old who has been represented by New View for 13 years. As you can image, modeling agencies are always subject to the 'scam' and ""they didn't do anything for me"" complaints. \r We have been treated with respect and honesty from they day we walked in the door with our 7 year old. \r \r As you can imagine, we were skeptical with a young girl in an industry like modeling, and we visited many agencies and thought long and hard about things prior to signing up. Yes, we paid money. Tell me any thing you do with your child these days that you don't. Dance lessons, baseball camps, violin, tennis, soccer, you name it and parents will shell out any amount of money for their kids to learn, have new experiences and improve at something they enjoy. But that doesn't mean your child will dance the lead in the nutcracker, pitch in the world series or play in Carnagie Hall. Yet for some reason the modeling industry is expected to make every kid an overnight superstar, and every teen into the next Tyra Banks. \r \r The training at New View was a positive experience for her, trained her for the industry, and taught her lessons in communications and confidence she has continued to use throughout her high school and college years. We were always informed about auditions that were APPROPRIATE for her (unlike agencies who will send EVERYONE to a casting that they don't fit the requirements for.) \r \r Every client they sent us to was reputable, and as she got older we had opportunities to meet with top agencies from NYC and MIAMI who came to meet New View models each season. We have understood from the beginning that modeling was a job, and not a place for us to look for someone to stroke our ego. This industry expect professionalism in it's models too and if you aren't willing to put IN the work and dedication, you probably won't get anything OUT of it either.\r \r New View is a reputable agency with an extensive client list in the midwest. I am happy we made the decision to sign with them years ago and can assume that, although we all have different opinions, some of the negative comments may need to be taken with a grain of salt from those who didn't succeed. more

New View is the most unprofessional ""modeling"" agency with the rudest staff imaginable. I signed up and started paying for classes, I am a nurse and they said they would work with my busy schedule.....lie... so I only got to do two (unimpressive to say the least) classes before i found out a have a serious medical condition and need to have a surgery that I wont be walking for some time after. I went to new view very kindly asked them if I could get out of the contract and that I didnt want any money back but wanted to cease the contract from here forward seeing as I obviously will not be able to attend classes or be able to walk runway ever. The accountant Brandon was so rude and told me there was NO WAY under any circumstance they would ever do that even if someone was dying. He used the analogy If someone was dying would credit card bills stop? Then when I threatened to do some publicizing of their antics his attitude changed and he decided to tell me if I could get a letter written by my doctor they would consider. So I did and he told me the condition wasnt bad enough for their liking. This agency is ALL about the money and is a TOTAL scam!!! Do not fall for it! more

We spent at least $750 on classes. My daughter had a photo shot and comp cards. She never got any work. Ever. it was a total waste of money as she only had one audition in the year or two she was there. They missed a gem because she is 11 yo, 5'3.5"" and has moved on to another agency without all the cost. She will model and do commercials and we are excited. I was very disappointed in the time we spent and there was no return. I would not recommend them at all. more

N V is a wonderful modeling agency! They've been in business for over 30 years and have relationships with agents in all the major modeling and acting markets. Their models currently work for major brands, including Olay, Macy's, Saks, Biore, John Frieda, The Gap, GQ and many others! \r \r They're always encouraging their models to work hard for what they want, and yes, sometimes that does require taking classes. Why wouldn't you take a class to help you better yourself for your future career? It's no different than preparing for anything else. They truly care about your well-being, as well as helping you develop into the best person you can be! In addition to teaching you modeling and acting skills, you can learn a lot about yourself through their services. Everyone at New View is wonderful to work with and is always willing to go out of their way to help! \r \r Don't believe the other reviews - N V is the best agency in the area and you won't be disappointed! more

They use deceptive business practices. They are the most unprofessional ""agency"", & claim very loudly to be reputable, experienced, etc. They give off negative vibes & will treat certain people like lepers if they feel that you can't do anything for them. I was approached by a ""talent scout"". It went downhill from there. A sugary receptionist called to follow-up, who seemed to be very nice. A few days later, I got a phone call from someone there asking me semi-personal questions in an hostile manner, which I thought was very odd. I couldn't continue in this. To make matters worse, the following months later, I kept receiving phone calls claiming that I should have called them back or some crap. I'm just saying it like it is: they are not who they claim to be. Don't fall for it! FRAUD. more

After being in modeling when I was younger. I am blessed to know about the pros and cons of the business. I happen to know first hand New View is a wonderful agency. They care about there clients. There isn't an agency out there that doesn't want you to invest in your talent. Every agency I have personally been too, or worked with had required classes and workshops. New View is by far one of the most reasonable by money wise. I know for a fact that they do work with bigger agencies such as Ford and Wilhelmina. How do I know this stuff I know models that work for some of these other companies and they praise N V Models. That's why when I had choice I had my daughter interviewed by N V and she is currently in classes. They are very professional and kind. I interviewed with over twenty agencies ten of who was interested in signing her and still chose N V. N V like any other agency does not take everyone on as a client like any other agency they have to make sure you have a talent. But to say they are wrong for charging for there classed, or that they are unprofessional is wrong and a defamation of character. Because every agency has you do this there are no free rides. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/18/2013

I had a contract at New View a few years back, after taking classes and paying a bunch of money they stopped contacting me, after many emails the woman who had recruited sent me an email back telling me that I never had what it took to be a model and never would and that I was stupid for even thinking I had a shot. As you can see by one of her posts below her attitude is anything but professional. I read down through some of the posts and I do not know who is posting as Joe, but he is lying. Below he claims that Her Scene exclusively uses NW models. Meaning that they don't use models from any other company, and that they went out of business in February. I have been in Her Scene Magazine several several times threw my new agent, and I was just in their Derby Issue which was published in May. I am sure Joe will post something to try to cover up this fact but if they are a NW employee they have just been caught lying. Out of curiosity I thought I would look into some of the other claims Joe made in his post. Ian has in fact been in New york for at least the last to months according to his FB and Twitter band page's time and location stamps, FB: ian.mellencamp . Also its not illegal because while NV posts his work and photos on their site, implying that he works for them, they do not come straight out and say that he is one of their contracted models, and even if they did it still wouldn't be illegal. I am not sure about criminal activities, but I do know they have been reported dozens of times to the BBB and several of their senior and past employees have been associated with have been caught running modeling scams. So Joe can't say they have no activity listen when in 2010 NV was sued by Tanela Hickman, they paid her off in return for her signing a non-disclosure agreement so that she could not tell anyone. The court dockets and transcript are free online.\r The internet is an amazing tool. more

NV I.\r \r We were very disappointed to read your review, as it contained numerous inconsistencies and untrue statements. There is no model agency licensing requirement or option in the state of Ohio. Additionally, Ian has not been in New York for a month, so your statement was entirely untrue and false. It would be illegal for us to state that Ian models for us if that was not true. HER magazine used our models exclusively until they went out of business in February. Finally, the only activity we have on file with the Evendale Police Department is the complaint we filed regarding your criminal behavior toward our business. We run a respectable and reputable business and have numerous clients who will vouch for our business.\r \r N V Models & Talent \r more

Don't bother with these scammers.\r I did some looking into them a while back when they ripped off a friend of mine and none of what they say is true.\r They claim to have been around for 30 some years starting in the mid 80s when the truth is a failing hack model bought the old Druck Model and Talent agency, a failing scam agency, in 1996. They don't even have a real Modeling Agency License, just a lame charm school license.\r They claim to have a bunch of big time clients when their actual client list the local Craigslist page. They have no real connections with any of the people they say they do.\r They do local nickle and dime mall shows and hire for a few local photographers. \r \r Like any scam they make their money of screwing over their ""models"" they take any and everyone one as long as they pay, but once you are signed on you will never heard from them again unless you miss a payment. They will NEVER call you for your twice annual review like a real agency, they will never call to check and see whats up if they haven't heard from you in over a year(that happened with my friend, they even forgot who he was) once they have your money they don't care.\r \r Speaking of money of all the ""Models"" from their that I have talked to, no two of them paid the same price even though they were all of the same age and type. One paid $1200, one $1500, and another only $1300. All took the same classes and all got contracts. However once a year they will charge you a contract fee, but never send you a notice or a bill. They just take it out of your check at their convenience so they can screw you out of as much money as possible. \r \r In addition I looked up several of the people they claim are their top models. The Modeling world operates largely online with sites like FB and Model Mayhem making it extremely easy to get in touch. One person they claimed to have represented was 2010 Miss USA winner Rima Fakih, her agent who represented her at the time had never heard of them.\r Last week when I was in NYC I personally was able to sit down and talk to Ian Mellanchamp, who NV uses as their poster boy and still showcase his work on their sites an pages, he told me himself face to face that NV hasn't represented him since early 2000's. He dropped them because they were lousy and barely found him any work, he has nothing to do with them anymore.\r They also keep photos, videos and Magazines which they use to show off their ""models"" I was in their the other day and was shown a issue of HER magazine in which the agency guy tried to tell me the two girls in one of the picture were their models, the models were actually from another local agency, Heyman Talent.\r \r Avoid these fraudsters and if you are a model, report them to the Evandale police department they have a file a mile long on these thieves. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/12/2013

I looked absolutely unkempt and unfashionable, but this girl named ""Bridget"" acted like I was the gem of Cincinnati. She was overly nice and wanted to shove me in without even asking for a portfolio.\r \r As well as knowing a fellow model from NV PERSONALLY, I can conclude that most people in this agency are completely unprofessional. And if you don't meet their ""completely pristine standards,"" they'll charge you thousands for classes that should have been free to promising models. \r \r \r You can see the manager's confrontational attitude towards negative ratings, and she doesn't deserve her position. Why would the MANAGER snap at people, like some ghetto girl who never learned proper manners? There is no hope for Kimberly, or this company. more

Excuse me? 2/22/2012

Please forgive me ,but have you ever stepped a foot inside the building? New View is absolutly AMAZING, and I have to put that in capital letters for many reasons. I for one have been under their training since last december, and I absolutly love it. I have concurred so confidence problems, and learned so much since I've taken my first step in. I've never felt better about myself till now and is a very uplifting and goal oriented experiance. The staff are very welcoming and really want to help people get to their full potencial. So before you do a quote on quote write a ""review"", please present your evidence and don't go by what people say because that doesn't show that you actually met them or seen the stuff they do.My philosophy is this.... Go look for yourself and see. And you should seriously do so because then you might change your mind. Thank you Kimberly and Chester for making a company that have values, treats people right, and are willing to walk with you so you can be all that you can be. You guys have but nothing short of a blessing to my life. more

I invite you to visit my office, look me in the eye and say to my face what you cowardly typed here. Kimberly Pridemore, New View Director more

All good. 5/23/2011

I have been a model with NV for a decade. They are and have been the best. They are my mother agent, my local agent and are really good people. I started at a very young age, they gave me great direction and have worked with and for me for ten years. I find some of these ""reviews"" a little suspect. Oh well, like I said. All good. more

Awful, Terrible, Horrible Etc. 1/27/2011

Generally when I write a review I take my time and put a generous amount of detail. However, THIS agency is an easy one to describe. I've talked to many many people about New View and I've also heard them called every negative name in the book. They can be described in one simple word. Scam. Thats the truth. Period.
