I BROUGHT MY CAT HERE TO BE PUT TO SLEEP AND I REGRET DOING IT THERE...NOT THAT THE EXPERIENCE WASN'T PAINFUL ENOUGH, THE VET THAT DID IT HAD A BAD BEDSIDE MANNER. I WANTED THE VET TO GIVE HER ""THE SHOT"" RIGHT AWAY, BUT SHE INSISTED ON GIVING HER A TRANQUILIZER FIRST. THE VET DID NOT WARN ME THAT MY BABY GIRL WAS GOING TO BE ""PADDLING AND PANTING"", THAT WAS A HORRIBLE SIGHT! THIS WENT ON FOR 5 MINUTES BEFORE SHE DECIDED TO GIVE HER THE LETHAL INJECTION. I HAVE TWO OTHER CATS AND I WILL NEVER EVER BRING THEM THERE! R.I.P. MY SWEETHEART...XOXO more

Staff was extremely unprofessional. They had no clue about pricing of procedure, refunding money and of different services that were offered through them. I will never use them again and I do not reccomend them to anyone. more

THE GOOD,THE BAD,THE UGLY. 6/19/2010

to robert w....you must be closely related to someone at NEVC . i took my 2 cats there and got overcharged, misdiagnosed, lab tests charges not needed.costly meds that made them sick. etc. etc. . the same old same old. and i paid all the charges even lthe ones that were doubled because we i had a voucher from the adoption center.NEAS. so,one of the vets being male of the species, came into the exam room and made a snide remark right off the bat, about how nice it is to get such free or low priced vet services? then they threw a bill at me for over 200.00 just for an ear mite problem. called it something else and treated us very snooty. i mean, why don't they just hold people up with a gun??? it's highway robbery and not only that it's criminal or should be. come on vets, you know what i'm talking about. if robert w. wasn't charged the way we were, then i accuse the clinic of discrimination and favoritism. i mean, i only LOOK like a movie star, i don't make have a movie star's income more

BEST OF THE NORTH SHORE 6/17/2010

I have been taking my pets to New England Vet Clinic since 1998 and would never go anywhere else. Everyone that works there acknowledges each and every pet that goes through there and their humans. They always treat your pet as if your pet is always their number one priority. Always friendly, smiling faces and overwhelmingly helpful. The rooms are always clean and disinfected. Can't say enough wonderful things about the people who make up the New England Veterinary Clinic. Thank You All... more

Good vet clinic 6/8/2010

I brought my cat here when she was mysteriously licking off her hair. We figured it was from a stressful move and new environment Instead of loading her up with prescription drugs, they gave me an herbal dropper to use in her water that helped calm her down. It did the trick. more

Pros and Cons 8/27/2009

I have been taking my dog to NE vet for over a year. I brought him in at about 8 months to be seen for a skin condition. Dr. Bergeron brushed it off as allergies and told us to change his food. We did. months later we were still having the same problem. Over a 6 month period he was being seen about every two weeks. Everyone there had us convinced it was allergies, and we believed it so we kept bringing him back to get antibiotics (which kept causing a yeast infection in his ear requiring more medications). On our most recent visit, they did some blood work and found out he has tiny skin mites causing the irritation and infections. I have to say that I am very dissapointed it took so long, so much suffering, and SO MUCH MONEY to figure this out. Why was it brushed off as allergies for so long? Why did we wait so long to do the blood tests? (Also, we werent informed until we got there he would have to be put under for the blood tests!!!! thank god we were home to take care of him after more

New England Veterinary Clinic 8/3/2009

My family has been a client of the NE Vet Clinic for almost a year now. We have nothing but praise for the clinic. Having had pets for over three years now, we are thrilled to find a vet that actually calls us to check-in on them. Our dog was recently struck by a vehicle on an early Sunday morning, so we had to take her to the Mass Vet Hospital in Woburn. Monday morning, our primary vet, Dr. Tucker, called us to check on her. As long as we are in the Boston area, Dr. T will be our Vet. more

An honest opinion 3/8/2009

I have been a client of this practice for a very long time. I have been through surgeries, illnesses, deaths, 45 minute waits to see the vets, phone calls put on hold etc:. Maybe my perspective is different because I work in a human Doctor's office so I know how things can get behind. I can give you two specific examples why this practice is above and the rest. When my 2 1/2 year old Boston Terrier was put down (not there but at a hospital) after Dr Pino had diagnosed him with what turned out to be his illness, she actually called me to express her sympathy and told me I would see him again. My heart was broken and that small courtesy made all the difference to me.Recently, my other older Boston was diagnosed with a condition that will require surgery. My husband has been laid off almost a year, so money is tight. I told them I would save up the money and I did and the surgery will occur soon. I was told that if I couldn't save it all at one time they would bill me for the rest. So, do more

Love these guys 3/4/2009

I just got a new puppy. I called to make our first appointment and the receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to get me in that day!!. I found Dr. Bergeron to be very informative and helpful. I had a wonderful experience here and will continue to bring my new addition to my family there. more

Skilled and compassionate surgery 3/14/2007

My dog Barney, who is kind of a klutz, was playing in the park with his doggy friends and slipped and fell going full tilt after the ball. He came up not using one of his legs. My neighbor recommended I take him to New England Veterinary Clinic. They were able to get him in right away. I saw Dr. Pino who was extremely compassionate and friendly. After examining him and some Xrays, it was determined he would need surgery. Their chief of staff, Dr. Bergeron, was able to schedule him within the week and did a great job! The nurses were extremely knowledgeable as well and were able to answer all my questions and called to check on him the following day. Six weeks later, he is almost as good as new. He just had his last follow-up appointment and is now free to return to normal activity. Thank you Dr. Bergeron and thank you New England Veterinary Clinic!! more

Great doctors, compassionate staff 3/14/2007

The vets here are very knowledgeable. I was able to get in right away, they diagnosed my very ill cat with diabetes. She spent a few days in the hospital, and I'm happy to say she is doing well. They saved her life! Thank you New England Veterinary Clinic! Pros: convenient hours, ample parking Cons: slight wait to see doctor more

What a great place! 2/8/2007

This animal hospital is the BEST. You can make appointments on their website!! And the doctors are great and the staff always so nice and they remember you. My shy kitty is in good hands with them. I can see why they are sometimes a little busy. more

Chaotic environment, not good for shy cats 9/23/2005

I brought my cats to this clinic for about a year because I liked the one particular vet that was working with them. (I understand this particular vet is no longer there.) This is a large practice with several vets. It is always busy and whenever I went it was extremely loud with lots of dogs barking. It was also very chaotic and I often had to wait 30 minutes or more to go into the examining room. I thought the practice was very insensitive. For example, when my cat died at home (very traumatic for me), I called the practice the next morning to arrange to bring in the cat's body. When I got there, there were several people there, and I could not get anyone's attention. I had to stand there waiting with my deceased cat's body in a box. I almost passed out from being stressed and upset and no one was noticing me. more
