I have been taking my dog to NE vet for over a year. I brought him in at about 8 months to be seen for a skin condition. Dr. Bergeron brushed it off as allergies and told us to change his food. We did. months later we were still having the same problem. Over a 6 month period he was being seen about every two weeks. Everyone there had us convinced it was allergies, and we believed it so we kept bringing him back to get antibiotics (which kept causing a yeast infection in his ear requiring more medications). On our most recent visit, they did some blood work and found out he has tiny skin mites causing the irritation and infections. I have to say that I am very dissapointed it took so long, so much suffering, and SO MUCH MONEY to figure this out. Why was it brushed off as allergies for so long? Why did we wait so long to do the blood tests? (Also, we werent informed until we got there he would have to be put under for the blood tests!!!! thank god we were home to take care of him after
