Our 7 and 12 year old loved it. It was nice to see the excitement in their faces while they came across a creature that was new to them. I heard about the jelly exhibit from a c...

Nice family activity but has been the same for a while 5/7/2016

I have been coming here for almost 20 years and I think they still have the same fish, sharks and sting rays from when I was a kid. I keep wanting it to be more awesome but it just keeps having the same things for me to look at. They added the aviary a few years back but that is not that cool... literally as it is a rain forest atmosphere so it remains at about 99% humidity and hot. With all that said, I will still come back no matter what because my son still gets really boosted. more

Great for fish lovers of all ages 4/14/2006

When we used to live in Baltimore we had yearly passes for the Aquarium. I like to look at fish sure but this place was incredible. I could spend all day just looking at the different fish. I loved the shark tank! IT was awesome to see such large powerful creatures up close and personal. We also really enjoyed the dolphin shows and tried to catch one whenever we went. This is such a great family oriented place and well worth the price of admission. more

A Fin-tastic Time 2/15/2006

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is easily my favorite aquarium of all time. The price of admission is quite steep, but it's definitely worth it! In addition to several floors of displays, there's a living rain forest, a dolphin show amphitheater, and a brand new wing. Food is quite expensive and nothing worth describing, so either eat beforehand, or grab some food after. The gift shops are fantastic, too; don't miss them. Be sure to check out the Fridays after Five special, when admission is $5; it's not all the time, though, so check the website. more

Great place to spend a summer Saturday 2/7/2006

The Baltimore Aquarium, one of the showpieces of the waterfront Harborplace overhaul, is spacious, dark, cool and interesting. Part of the interior is shaped into a giant spiral, sort of like the Guggenheim Museum in New York, so that you are continually looking into tanks at the edge of the large, circular interior. The dolphin show is funny and lots of fun. Explanations about the fish are simple to understand, so that parents can explain to children. When I went on a Saturday in the summer, it was very, very crowded, but that's to be expected at that time of year. The aquarium is in the middle of Baltimore's waterfront shopping and dining area. Lots of fun all around. more

Maybe why Baltimore is the greatest city in America. 2/1/2006

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is one of the highlights of this fair city--they have a wonderful assortment of fish to entertain the young and young-at-heart for hours upon end. The Aquarium has many wonderful exhibits, including a wonderful dolphin show, a display about sharks, and one on the rainforest. Additionally, they are just completing a whole exhibit on the Australian outback. Fridays after 5--admission drops to just 7.50! Only downside--it gets a little crowded then. But definitely worth checking out. more

Don't miss it! 1/14/2006

If you are planning a trip to Baltimore, don't miss this terrific point of interest. Wonderful exhibits and very kid-friendly! The best parts: the dolphin show and the HUGE tank that you walk down ramps in the center of! The only difficult part with toddlers: no strollers allowed. This is because the set up inside utilizes a lot of escalators...Also, admission is pretty expensive for a family, but they have a special on Friday nights in the spring where admission is only $5 per person! more

Fun aquarium! 12/29/2005

The Baltimore Aquarium is a fun and informative way to spend your time in Baltimore. You will enjoy all the great displays and fish. You learn in a fun environment. Every exhibit is interesting and you find yourself mesmerized by the marine life. The dolphin show is excellent. It's amazing to watch them. Don't miss this top attraction in Baltimore- it's worth the price. Try to go at off peak times to miss the crowds. more

An Experience for the Senses! 12/22/2005

The Baltimore Aquarium is one of the premiere aquariums in the area. It is everything one would expect with an area that is so extricably tied to the harbor and the bay with its multistoried shark viewing area and full size tropical rainforest habitat (not to mention the dolphin shows!). The aquarium is should definitely be added to every visit of Baltimore, it is a decision you will not regret! more

Great field trip with the kids! 11/15/2005

live very close to Baltimore and I still try to go there once a year. There is always an animal new there. My son loves it there! Especially the dolphin show and I still get a kick out of it too. The bad thing is it is really expensive and the lines are really long and its hard to get around on the weekends because it is so packed! more

Great Place to Visit! 10/23/2005

This is a wonderful palce to take children and adults alike. Their is a massive shark pool that you can look down on and watch the feedings about 3 times a day. The feeders are very knowledgeable about the sharks and hang around to answer all the questions. The aquarium has made a very conscious effort to educate the public about the fish and the waters surrounding Maryland as well. I think this is a wonderful place to take out of town guests as well as a routine trip for locals. more

best aquarium 10/11/2005

The National Aquarium is the best aquarium I have erver been to...not just in Baltimore. There are so many species of fish and mammals on display. There are interactive shows for the children and the dolphin show is the best around. The price is igh, but they have discount admissions on Friday evenings and once a year offer free admission for all. more

Great, educational experience! 10/1/2005

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is a great place to take the family. It's very educational, well-kept, and in a great location. The fish are beautiful. They have a shark tank and also a rain forest "environment" that you can walk through. They have a dolphin show that I've heard bad things about so I haven't bothered to see it. Admission is expensive--about 20 bucks a person--but it is discounted on Friday evenings. A must see in the Inner Harbor! more

best in show 9/28/2005

The National Aquarium here in Baltimore is amazing. Once again it is expanding to get even better. There is so much to do and see. They have a great deal on Friday nights, when you can see the entire place in plenty of time for only seven dollars. The aquarium is the focal point of the Inner HArbor and a place not to miss! more

Great Educational Experience 9/23/2005

What a great place to visit while in the Baltimore area. We were quite impressed with the variety of sea life available to view. The dolphin show was wonderful. The staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Although the aquarium was under renovations while we were there, we had NO problems accessing any area, or finding our way around. more

So much FUN!!! 9/15/2005

I love the aquarium!!! So many fish its GREAT!!! The dolphin show is wonderful for children and adults. Eat before you go because the food court is WAY over priced but other than that its awesome. more

A nice way to spend an evening 9/1/2005

When you enter the aquarium, you forget what a bad place Baltimore can be. Gone are the gunshots and constant sirens and in its place is the warm gentle hum of life. The actual aquarium is really nice, I loved how each of the different areas each represent a different facet of life (which is really important to me as a science buff). But for those who like a bit more action, the 5 story shark exhibit might be more their style. You can really tell how much care was put into the aquarium and it really shows. more

get up close and personal with marine life 8/31/2005

The Aquarium is a great activity for kids and adults. A variety of exhibits showcase an array of sealife, including fish, manatees, shrimp, seahorses, dolphins and seals. Educational and entertaining, the Aquarium is a great place to spend the day with family. Tickets are expensive, especially for adults, and many field trips make it a crowded location. Try going in the evening to avoid crowds. more

A Must-See 8/21/2005

You simply cannot be in Baltimore without visiting the National Aquarium. You can pet sting-rays, watch a dolphin show, and learn more about sea life than you ever wanted to know. Every few months or so they have a different main display. In winters on Friday nights, there is usually admission for $5, a real bargain, but its worth the price of regular admission to avoid the crowds. And definitely don’t miss the monkeys in the tropical rainforest. more

National Aquarium in Baltimore 8/20/2005

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is the home to over 560 animal species. The aquarium provides a great opportunity to learn about and get close to aquatic animals. The aquarium offers an array of programs for adults and children to teach about these animals. Besides being a great learning place, it's just really cool to see animals up close that we would probably never see without the aquarium. It's fun for the whole family. more
