The Law Office of Nathaniel M. Davis, P.C. provides legal services for a wide variety of clients. Mr. Davis has been practicing law since January 6, 1996. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Economic from Rutgers College of Rutgers University in May 1990. He then received his Juris Doctorate from Temple University, School of Law in May 1995. Mr. Davis is presently barred in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Early in his career, Mr. Davis was an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Newark where he represented the City in Title 59 matters and contract litigation. He also served as a municipal prosecutor for the City of Newark. Mr. Davis also served a per diem Public Defender for the City of Newark for ten years. Subsequently, Mr. Davis accepted a position with the Paterson Public School District as Associate Legal Counsel where he handled various legal matters. As the Assistant Corporation counsel for the City of Paterson Mr. Davis was responsible for real estate matters, contact and bidding, contract negotiations, grievances and arbitration hearing. Additionally, Mr. Davis was the attorney for the Alcohol and Beverage commission and municipal prosecutor the City of Paterson. Mr. Davis also served as the Planning Board Attorney for the Township of Hillside. Mr. Davis was the Legislative Research Officer for the City of the Township of Orange. Mr. Davis is presently the Public Defender for the City of Township of Orange. He also represented public entities such as the Township of Irvington and the City of East Orange. Nathaniel M. Davis is a member of New Jersey Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association, Garden State Bar Association, Sidney Reitman Employment Law Inn of Court and Strathmore Who's Who. Mr. Davis is also a former Councilman for the Borough of North Plainfield, and the Workman's Compensation Inns of Court.
