Great Day Spa! 1/20/2006

I just love going to this gem on the top of Queen Anne! It's like taking a mini vacation every time! I love Mary & Jerry Napolitano & the friendly, service oriented & talented staff!. I go regulary for the full body massage. Carol is excellent! I also think that Melissa does an excellent job with color/highlights & cuts. Spa pedicures here are so relaxing I can fall asleep. You'll definitely be pampered here. Pros: Great service, Friendly, Variety Cons: Parking more

Want to look like a queen? 1/17/2006

I love the service I get at Napolitano's. I feel like a queen after all their services. I used to live closed by and now I drive from Normandy Park because I have never found a place where services are so outstanding. I recomend this place to everyone that want to treat themselves and feel after the experience. Lots of models and media personalities visit this place, doesn't that tell you something? Pros: High quality, Professionals, best styles more

Whimpy massage 1/14/2006

I recently had a massage at Napolitano and it was horrible. I must have had the same therapist that an earlier reviewer had because this gal was just bad. She had what looked like a massage textbook in the room so maybe she's still in school??? Well, she needs to stay there and learn to give massages. She seemed to not know about pressure point and finishing the rub. The hand and foot massages were jokes, my one year old applies more pressure than she did. I will definitely not go back to Napolitano for a massage. That being said, I've had a pedicure and a facial there and they were both really great; probably one of the most fantastic pedicures I've ever had. They could probably use to upgrade the ambiance a bit. Maybe a new coat of paint and some new carpet. Pros: great prices, great pedicures, great facials Cons: parking, fairly loud, bad massages more

Personal Attention 12/11/2005

This salon has given me personal attention like no other salon in the Seattle area. I consider myself very picky when it comes to waxing, facials and skin therapy. Since starting the pulse light therapy with Mary, I've noticed my skin improve. It's firmer, silky and soft like it was when I was 18 years old. They carry Dermalogica and Jan Marini skincare. Both are considered to be some of the finest products in the industry. Although reluctant at first to pay for a higher end product, I am glad that I have. Thank you for giving me the look of dewy youth again! I highly recommend this salon and the only reason why I did not highly recommend sunless tanning, is because I have olive skin and black hair. My complexion is already naturally tan, therefore I do not have experience with this service. Pros: Pulse Light Therapy, Waxing, Facials Cons: Parking more

WONDERFUL SPA, WONDERFUL MASSAGE 11/17/2005

I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the previous review re the Massage services at this Spa. I listened instead to my friends who highly recommended Napolitano and I wasn't disappointed. From the warm atmosphere, the friendly and professional staff, to the well appointed and comfortable facilities, it's like being wrapped in a warm cocoon. I had one of the best massages I've ever had and have since been back for two more. Perhaps because they have added a new Massage therapist--I'm not sure, but I can't recommend this place highly enough. If you want to be pampered, this is the place. Oh, and they give fabulous pedicures as well!! Pros: Personal Service, Friendliness, atmosphere more

Do NOT go for a massage here! Unskilled labor! 8/27/2005

I decided to treat myself to a massage at this place since it had high reviews. What a mistake I have had probably 10-12 massages in my life and this was the worst --truly horrible. I specificaly asked for a theraputic massage which made her look at me funny---isn't that massage school 101?! The woman used very little lotion so there was a lot of friction and she proceeded to rub me with very long and fast strokes. The way she touched was abrupt and unrelaxing when she lifted the sheet up tp work on a limb I thought she was going to rip the thing off. Also she did not know any pressure points and sometimes she would slow down to a stop (her technique I guess). Afterwards I hurt for days. I think this place will hire people with little to no experience, do not waste your money. more

The worst waxing experience I've ever had 5/7/2005

I've been having my eyebrows waxed since I was 13. Without revealing my age, let's just say it's been quite a while. I visited Napolitano because it's close to where I live and because it had an excellent rating on citysearch. I'm sad to say that I've had the worst waxing experience ever -- and I've seen quite a few estheticians in my time. Not only were my eyebrows too thin but also they were uneven. One side was wider and longer than the other. Even my husband, clueless as he is, could tell. I will never return to this spa. more

The best place for hair removal! 3/9/2005

I love this spa - the location, the staff, the parking but most of all the plethora of services it has to offer. It's so charming walking through the doors into the welcoming environment of Napolitano. They have about everything you could wish for on their spa and salon menu but I have to rave about my own most recent experience. I went in for hair removal and got the best most effective results. I have been other places where they rip you off with their big on expense small on results attitude. Not at Napolitano - they gave me the most bang for my buck in this area. I highly recommmend them and wish everyone could see just what an amazing experience it would be to try them out. Pros: Value, Extensive Services, Parking more

Neighborhood Charm Tucked in QAnne, Why Go Dwntwn 3/6/2005

They truly care about their clients. Best treatment and relaxation massage and facial. used to think the throne was the best way to receive a pedi, until I experienced their spa pedicure laying down on a heated table. Great pricepoint. Convenient parking & retail worth stopping in for. Pros: Massage,Facial,Pedi, Handled with TLC, Bridal or Girls Day more

Lovely Place 2/7/2005

As a regular customer for the past several years, I find the owners of Napolitano Day Spa to be lovely people who have set up a comfortable and extremely pleasant spot for cultivating beauty and relaxation. Thank you! more

Charming! 12/19/2004

Napolitano is cosy and charming--incense, candles, and tea. A perfect Queen Ann day spa. And the service is as pleasant as the surroundings. Pros: product samples, easy parking, friendly service more

Charming Spa! 12/7/2004

I love this place. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is charming. You can always find parking and the staff is so qualified. I have gotten a men's manicure, a massage and my wife get's facials and just raves about them. I just tried the acupuncture and it was wonderful - my back actually feels better. I think that Napolitano is what a spa/salon should be - neighborly, personal and quality. I highly recommend. Pros: quality, good prices, parking more

3 hours of attention 6/30/2004

I had read about the combo manicure/pedicure treatment at this spa and found it very enticing. However, I didn't get two people working on me simultaneously, as I had read, but that was fine. My technician was wonderful! The treatment took 3-hours, though, which I wasn't prepared for, and the location must be near a school because I heard screaming kids the entire time. However, I enjoyed the service I received and Nonnie was the best! Pros: Excellent service Cons: , kids playing outside more

The best 6/8/2004

This is no ordinary, barren, psuedo-far east Zen want-to-be, false-fountain dripping, meditation ocean-music, dark 'shushey' temple of spa doom..... Napolitano is truly a spa where you actually can get "world-class" skin, nail, body and hair services in one place.... in a relaxing, real-world and professional environment! The feeling of Napaletano Spa is like going to your best friend's home to treat yourself to some world-class skills from Mary and her staff. The relaxing, genuine and welcoming atmosphere, the level of quality, impeccable service, and professionalism put you instantly at ease and set this spa apart from the rest! The quality of the results, the reasonable prices and the qeniune experience have me hooked!! Pros: service quality, atmosphere, staff more

Heavenly Facials 4/18/2004

Besides the relaxing touches, like my aromathreapy footbath (with homegrown lavender and rosemary), the facials and pulse light treatments I'm having with Mary Napolitano and her staff have dramatically improved my skin! I'm hooked!! Pros: Amazing extras, Special attention, Completely relaxing more

Great experience 1/19/2004

Just when I think I experienced all the wonderful treatments at Napolitano Day Spa Salon I discover another. It is a great place to be pampered alone or with friends. I can't wait to go back. Pros: Professional, friendly, relaxing more

Pedicures for Peace! 5/5/2003

If all the world's leaders went to Mary Napolitano for a pedicure, there would be no wars, ever again! What an awesome experience! Mary and her staff are fantastic and friendly, and the spa package was well priced. Gail's massage left me just shy of being a puddle, and Andrew gave me a cut that I could deal with and style without spending half an hour in the bathroom. Well done! Pros: Friendly, Relaxing, Well priced more

Good full massage. 1/13/2003

  • The Scene
This isn't a spa factory where tony women line the lobby and march in and out just for the sake of going to the spa. It's the small details that turn big-city spagoers into regulars after just one visit to this friendly neighborhood spa. After accepting a refreshment from the receptionist, it's time to ascend the stairs and leave the day's tribulations behind.

    The Services
Order the spa manicure/pedicure combination and you'll find yourself on a massage table wearing an eye pillow as two people work on your hands and feet. It's a double whammy as a time-saver and is as refreshing as a full-body massage. Finish off the afternoon with a haircut and style and you'll be ready to descend back into the city.

    The Details
Soaking tub. Massage, body treatments, facials, medi-spa treatments, hair removal, sunless tanning, manicure/pedicure, full-service salon, makeup application.
