Best sushi bar in Pittsburgh 9/17/2006

Nakama Japanese Steakhouse is an awesome restuarant for afterwork drinks in preparation for an excellent dinner. They have wonderful chefs which provide plenty of entertainment with your meal along with great customer service. If you are willing to pay the extra money for a wonderful evening in the Southside of Pittsburgh, which is great for taking that special lady, then Nakama is the place to be. Great place to entertain 9/17/2006

I'm a hero! Every client I've taken to Nakama invariably calls me to find out the next time we'll go there. The food is outstanding, the service superb and the prices, (especially during ""Happy Hour"") are affordable. I highly recommend Nakama to sushi afficionados as well as ""first-timers"". Even if sushi isn't your cup of tea, take in a show tableside. All of my clients were impressed with the performance done by expert chefs. FAMILY DATE NIGHT at Nakama 9/17/2006

My husband and I had date night every other thursday before our daughter was born. Now we have family date night, we love the sushi and atmosphere ( and the saketinis don't hurt) and our 4 year old loves to eat with chopsticks and watch the chef prepare her dinner. The hibachi is fabulous, the service well timed, the sushi is by far the best in the ""burgh"" and the fun we have is a family is priceless. Best Dining Experience Ever 9/17/2006

From the time we arrived until we left, we were amazed at the energetic atmosphere, the entertaining chef, and the very helpful staff. I never knew that dinner could be so fun. We will go back for the great food and wonderful feeling this place gives off. The cost was very fair and maybe even a little low as for the value we got. You definitely have to try this place, as I know you will be hooked as we are. more

Classy and delicious 9/17/2006

Nakama has a very classy atmosphere with excellent Japanese cuisine. Watching the cooks perform tricks as well as cook is also an extra perk. Service is also great. Nakama is a great place to eat whether you're on a date, or with a group. more

Best Japanese Steakhouse in town! 9/17/2006

I recently ate at Nakama and it was one of the best dinners I have had for months. The food is amazing, the prices are low especially for the amount of food you get!!! The atmosphere is wonderful because everybody is so funny and the chefs are very entertaining. It is now mine and my girlfriends favorite Japanese Steakhouse!!! My husband and I treat ourselves to Nakama anytime we want to celebrate. The sushi and appetizers are excellent and the service is great. I frequent Nakama's at least once a week. The food is tremendous, excellent customer service, and trendy atmosphere. I LOVE IT!!! I mainly go for the Sushi and I havent had any problems. NOT ONLY DO I FEEL THAT NAKAMA HAS EXCELLENT FOOD, THEIR SERVICE AND WELL AS EMPLOYEES ARE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.. SOUTH SIDE HAS IT'S UPS AND DOWNS CAUSE I'VE BEEN HERE LONG ENOUGH BUT NAKAMA IS A PLACE TO BE WHERE THERE ARE NO WORRIES ABOUT THE FOOD OR SERVICE. I GO EVERY TUESDAY AND SOMETIMES TWICE A WEEK. Pittsburgh's Primere Party Restaurant 9/17/2006

Recently one of my friends was celebrating their 30th birthday. To start the evening off right, we headed to Nakama. After spending quite some time at the bar, we move to a table where we had the best service and the best chef. The evening was lively and fun. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great time. more

I have been to Nakama several times and have always had a wonderful experience. The wait staff is pleasant and attentive, the chefs are amazing, and the food is always great! The sushi is some of the freshest I've ever had. The atmosphere is very vibrant and there always seems to be a crowd at the bar and for dinner. Nothing Else Like It 9/17/2006

Nakama is one of my all-time favorite places. When I take friends there for the first time, they rave. No other Japanese steakhouse that I have been to has food as excellent as Nakama's. If you're planning on going there for dinner it is always best to make a reservation and allow time to find parking, but other than that the food is to die for and the atmosphere is great. Nakama is great for a night out or a large group going out to dinner. Reservations are taken for large groups. The sushi is fantastic, tha Hanlei roll is our favorite! The service is always great, everyone is friendly. Lunch service is quick and the food is just as good as it is for dinner. The hibatchi dinners are kid friendly and great place to celebrate birthday's! more

Nakama is an amazing restaurant...not only that, it is an experience like none other. The food is great and it is extremely entertaining to have all of the food cooked in front of you. EXCELLENT LUNCH MENU 9/17/2006

My co-workers and I visit Nakama at least once a month for their outstanding lunch menu. What a great value... you can get a whole meal (ex: soup, side & entree w. rice) for practically nothing. And it's all served up right in front of you on the hibachi grill. I've never had a bad meal yet.
