Nails By Noel

I know I pay a little more than the other nail salons (but not as much as Newbury Street!), but I like the friendly and personal service I receive and I appreciate how clean the salon is. I have also searched for many salons near my house in Arlington who offer manicures and pedicures at a reasonable price, but I have found most places dirty (dead flies on shelves where polish bottle are displayed), dark, or women who work too fast to properly sanitize their equipment. I highly recommend Noelle and her ladies. If you want reasonable price, good service and clean in Downtown Boston, try High Tech Nails on Bromfield Street. I have used Nails by Noel several times and have never been disappointed. I read the negative review filed on this establishment and don't understand it. The pedicures and manicures I have had have always been excellent. The staff are all of Asian descent, but they are all friendly and hospitable and very attentive. This is excellent service, and excellent result and for a very good price. I highly recommend them. more

I'm always on the lookout for a new pedicure place near my home in Arlington, so tried out Nails by Noah in Lexington. For the price and service, I should have just gone to Newbury Street. The $30 I paid felt a bit steep for the service for the following reasons: 1) The water was cold in the tub, 2) the woman working on my feet cut my cuticles several times to the point where I started bleeding, probably because 3) the woman wasn't paying attention to what she was doing.... rather, she watched the soap on tv and chatted with her friend. Finally, 4) the woman didn't understand a word that I said (and didn't make an effort to get help translating). I won't go back.... Pros: None. Cons: Expensive, poor customer service, don't speak any English. more
