I was told I had gum disease by these people which is something you are stuck with for life, They had me go in for a gum scaling and gum treatments of sorts. I have always brushed daily and occasionally flossed. I do not smoke or anything that can cause damage to my teeth. After they told me I had gum disease I stopped caring about my teeth so much because I felt ... why bother? I took care of my teeth for so long just to be told I have gum disease.\r I moved to a new area and now have a new dentist. I just had a check up and they say my teeth and gums are perfectly fine minus a wisdom tooth that needs removed. You could imagine my surprise when they told me I did not have gum disease! I took my son to see Dr. Nisha Mandaliya in Aug of 2011. She told me that he needed two of his primary teeth ( his pre molars) extracted due to very large cavities and another tooth needed to have two surfaces filled. She showed me the radio graph quickly and waved her pencil around the "" cavity"". She was very inconsiderate with how she delivered this horrifying information. Thank God I have my Dental Assistant Certification!! I took a two semester coarse in dental radiology. This provided limited knowledge compared to someone who has had to complete Dental school. With my limited knowledge, I could see that something was very wrong. I took my son to a trusted Dentist who I had once worked for several counties away. He was horrified. My son had ZERO cavities!!!!!!!!! We documented the whole case with pictures and radio graphs. We included Heartlands radio graphs and estimate receipt of intended procedure. I turned this information to The Indiana Dental Association. In my OPINION, and in the opinion of many Doctors of Dentistry that I have spoken to, This is a for-profit business preforming unnecessary procedures. I hate to imagine the children who were not as lucky as my son. I have assisted with countless extractions. Dr. Breann Mundy and her staff understand service quality - from the time you walk in the front door until you walk out following the procedure -- and even after you are at home. Service quality is about core service (that which is expected) and customer service (above and beyond). Their core service is the best I have ever seen, and the extent to which Dr. Mundy and her staff go to make patients comfortable is outstanding. If you dread going to the dentist, if you are downright scared to go to the dentist, then try Dr. Mundy. I promise you will not be disappointed. I had 3 crowns and two fillings today at about Noon. The procedure was pain-free, and it is now 7 PM and I am still pain free. And, I just got a call from Dr. Mundy. She wanted to make sure I was doing OK. They get it!!!
