Mr. Transmission Sandy Springs

Two months ago, I took my car to Mr. Transmission after another mechanic referred me to them because they didn't do transmission work. At that time, I thought my problem was in the transmission but Mr. Transmission took a look at it and told me I didn't have a transmission issue. They did fix the problem they found and the engine runs fine. I can actually tell the difference in my vehicle. They kind of went out of their way for me and I appreciate that. Brought my car in to Mr. Transmission because it felt like it was skipping gears or hesitating. What I liked most was his honesty because he could have got me on a repair, which is what I was afraid of but he said the only thing he could find to do is flush the transmission on a regular basis. So he cleaned it out and my BMW is running great. more

I was driving out of my apartment complex when my car stalled. I was towed to Mr. Transmission because they were closest. I told them my car wouldn't start, and they had me sit there for a long time. I had my young son with me. They eventually told me everything was fine, and that there was nothing wrong with my car. They told me it stalled because it was something to do with the weather and something with the battery that needed tightening. But the battery was brand new. After that they told me I was free to go. As I was driving out of the parking lot, pulling into the center lane of a busy highway, the car stalled. So I was stuck in the middle of a busy highway with my son. I called them back, and a worker had to walk into the street to start my car and bring it back onto their lot. At that point they told me it was a transmission leak. They also told me a bunch of other things that were wrong with my car. I paid them to fix the leak, but went to another business to fix everything else. A week later a bigger transmission leak opened up. I had to put over $2,000 dollars into the car to fix the work they did. Don't go to Mr. Transmission. I feel like they don't know what they're doing. I felt the whole time I was there they were selling me on different services. They are business driven, not customer driven. I will say there was an older man working there who was very friendly to my son while we were waiting. But the people working on the car didn't know what they were doing. more

My general experience with Mr. Transmission was good because they were very nice people. They definitely helped me out as far as offering a competitive price here in Atlanta. I have a 13-year-old car, and travelling in the hills with it still seems a little iffy. I'm not completely convinced that my car is running well now, but that could just be because it's so old. more

We've had various transmission problems and Mr. Transmission always fixes them. There have been other problems with the vehicle that they've identified, but if they can't fix it themselves, they recommend someone who can. They're always courteous and bend over backwards to get things done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them to anybody and have done so on several occasions. more

We took our vehicle to another place first and they recommended Mr. Transmission since the job was more than they could handle. So, Mr. Transmission came and picked up our car, fixed it, and the car is fine now. They scheduled a follow-up visit and everything was fine. The car has been perfect since then. My experience with Mr. Transmission is based around the relationship I have built there with one guy. Lowell is nothing short of excellent. He is very trustworthy and I think the world of him. He's different than a lot of other people in that way. Sometimes he will tell you that you don't need to do something when another mechanic would tell you that you do just to charge more. I value the trust I have built with Lowell and the relationship I have with him. He has character. I've gone there even for jobs that don't involve my transmission. I have referred a couple of people there: neighbors and others. I've told them that it's nice to know that everything Mr. Transmission does is needed and not just done to jack up the price. Experience and knowledge are important, but trust is everything to me. more
