Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers

Visited this shop about a month and a half ago. They told me the two tires I wanted could not be ordered "from anyone" and tried to sell me different ones that cost a lot more than I expected. They also put additional services I did not ask for on the ticket and tried to get me to sign for them (I caught it in time and should have walked out then!) I went home and asked my friend who works in Chicago at a tire store if the tires I wanted were still made - they are and they cost about $100 less than the ones "Mr. Tire" tried to sell me. Also, he said the two tires would not mix safely with the ones on my car! I immediately went back there and cancelled the two tires. These guys are crooks and you are a fool if you do business with them. more

I went here several times thinking I was getting good service until I discovered at a later inspection that they'd put lug nuts back on my vehicle wrong, requiring the replacement of the bolts to fix the damage. Shortly thereafter I was getting estimates for a master brake cylinder replacement for my car and while I was getting estimates around $300-$350 from most places (ended up getting it done at MyTech in Woodbridge for $305) this place gave an estimate that was over $500! My initial impression was that they weren't the greatest but weren't bad, but I now feel they are grossly overpriced for mediocre service, I won't be back. more

I've known Dave Prack and his team of professionals for over 15 years! They are HONEST to a fault. It is a great pleasure for me to know these guys. It is a refreshing change to have this bunch in our NEIGHBORHOOD! It is a shame that Mr. Tire has purchased this business. However, the team is in tact. They are a quality outfit who will serve you good. I am a dedicated customer and tell all who are looking for qualty to come here. more

Biggest mistake ever! I told them I needed a new belt. They told me my belt was fine, but I needed a new alternator and battery, which I stupidly agreed to. The next week, my car died. I called the shop and told them that the car died and requested that they pay for towing since I just paid $600.00. They said that if it was a problem with the alternator or battery, they would. I said to the attendant that they could say that it was anything, to which he laughed heartily to his buddies and told me that they don't lie. Hilarious. I had the car towed to the shop and they told me that the problem was THE BELT! Funny, I remember saying that when I went in the first time. Needless to say, I feel that the shop attendants are jackasses and I will never go back again and will never recommend this place unless I don't like someone. If you are not a nice person, this is the best shop ever! more

I'M NOT SURE WHY THIS HAPPENED. I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR OIL CHANGE AND PICKED IT UP AND HAD PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE LIGHT.SECOND TIME I TOOK IT FOR OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION.... MY TIRED WERE NOT ROTATED AND THEY HAVE CHARGE ME FOR IT.. HOW I FOUND OUT IS THAT I HAD A BRAND NEW TIRE IN THE FRONT AND THE REST 3 ARE OLD.I CALLED BACK AND THEY SAID TO BRING BACK....I HAVE NO TIME ANYMORE TO DROP MY CAR FOR HALF A DAY TO DO A TIRE ROTATION, I'M NOT GOING BACK..........\r \r BOB more

Craven has tried to rip me off twice. They entice you in with ads for a cheap oil change or something then tell you that your car needs hundreds of dollars worth of repairs. I can't prove it but I think they intentionally disabled my girlfiends car and said there was an important $400 repair that they had to do immediately. After I came down to the shop and asked the only english speaking person there to explain why the "boot was ripped" and would cost that much to fix he changed his tune and lowered the price by half. That part is a $30 part at any auto parts store and I am almost certain it was intact before she got there. Always, be leary of ads from specialty shops, they just want to get you in so they can add some huge charges onto your bill. By the way, my girlfriends car runs just fine after I replaced the boot myself. more

I had issues with my car and I took it here, and I didn't feel like they were trying to be slimey and make money off of me. They were definitely timely and made me feel comfortable with the decisions for my car. I will definitely return. more

This auto repair and tire shop has very friendly staff. They have been very accomodating and helpful. They have always fixed my car in a very satisfactory manner. They are busy, so call for an appointment. They have a car that can drive you to work, if you drop off your car....a very helpful service. more
