I have been a patient of Dr. Shangold for over 10 years. She is both knowledgeable and compassionate. She spends time with me explaining what is necessary, and most important, she treats me as a whole person, integrating advice on issues that are not strictly gynecological. I have moved to another city, but I travel back to Philadelphia to see Dr. Shangold for my annual checkups, and more if necessary. That says it all.Danielle more

I signed up for an appointment online after reading good reviews and received a phone call the next morning. They were able to fit me in that week even though it was just an annual appointment. Everyone was very nice, caring and efficient. All around great experience.Karen more

Ive been to several ob/gyns and have never had a more pleasant experience. Dr. Shangold was very thorough and knowledgeable, and she made me feel extremely comfortable. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shangold to my family and friends.Randy more

My annual exam was scheduled for noon on a Tuesday. I arrived about 20 minutes early and was pleasantly surprised to be taken back to the exam room earlier than noon, and shortly after my review with the nurse, my doctor arrived before I could even open up the magazine to read. I spent may be 30 minutes total at the doctors office that day, and I was able to get in and out quickly. more

This was my first time at a real OB/GYN, as I have been using Planned Parenthood since I was 16 or 17, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. I researched the doctors in my network and got recommendations from people including my PCP and others in the health care field. Everyone had very positive remarks about Dr. Shangold. She didnt disappoint me at all. I was a bit apprehensive because I am on many medications and have been treated poorly by other doctors because of my illness. Dr. Shangold was very patient with me and made me feel very comfortable. She explained everything to me and took extra time to be sure I understood everything. I will definitely be back and will refer many of my friends to her too.Nancy more

I was referred to Dr. Shangold by my previous OB/GYN in 1990. He told me not to worry because he was referring me to someone good he was definitely correct. I can talk to Dr. Shangold about anything. She has your best interest at heart.Lisa more

From checking in until I made my way out the door, I had an excellent experience at Dr. Shangolds office. The questionnaire was very thorough, the receptionist and PA were very helpful and kind, and the doctor was exceptionally well spoken and explained everything that she did very well. From the moment that I walked into Dr. Mona Shangolds office, I felt comfortable. Dr. Shangold knew what she was doing and talks to you with respect. Her staff was very pleasant as well. I recently came to Dr. Shangold for the first time and couldnt be happier with the office as a whole. Not only was the staff friendly and helpful, but on time!! Everyone in the office was very professional. Dr. Shangold took the time to review my history, answer any questions I had, and even suggested a few options regarding the pill as well as other possible causes for my ongoing struggle with acne. I will definitely continue seeing Dr. Shangold as long as I live in the Philadelphia area.Hattie more

Ive been going to Dr. Shangold for about 8 years. I like that she listens to me and that she specializes in GYN and not OB as well. I think she tells me what I need to hear, although sometimes I dont want to hear it. Ive had other GYN doctors who didnt seem to understand the intimacy and sensitivity of the GYN exams, and Dr. Shangold seems to understand this, and she makes me feel as comfortable as I can in this uncomfortable situation. Also her staff is very caring and personable too.Barbara more
