Thanks for helping me with all the cakes - Vegas, Cell phone, Lighthouse, Wedding Palm Trees and probably more to come. You all deserve more than 5 stars- Rita more

Great! 11/7/2008

This is the only bakery for my family. I've been going here my entire life. If I arrive at a gathering (most of my family moved out of state) without a New York cheesecake I think they would send me home. more

Great place for pastery and Special order Cakes 6/18/2008

Old fashioned spotless Italian pastry shop, nice looking rhum baba, they make their own gelatto and italian ice. Lovely to have an espresso and some cookies at the counter. The special order cakes are even more amazing we ordered chocolate sheet cake with mousse and rasberry they made a little tasting portion of our different options-so hard to choose! Really nice staff! Check it out for yourself. more

One of the best! 12/28/2005

I recently moved to the Hartford area and was sooo pleased to come across Modern Pastry Inc. I swear there pastries are straight from Italy! I have never had a bad experience with them. I have consistently gone back to get cannolis (my favorite!) and bring them to every family gathering. The few times I didn't bring them places, people were asking why not so I just learned that I don't leave home without my cannolis from Modern! They also have the most beautiful looking wedding cakes in their displays. I just got engaged and I already know where I'm getting my wedding cake from...MODERN!!! I would definilty recommend them for any type of pastry! more
