mill creek veterinarian hospital 6/27/2011

We took our new puppy to see Dr. Johnson and were treated in a rude, condescending manner. No people skills at all. We will take our business elsewhere in the future. Dr. Johnson needs to be reminded she is in a service industry, a little bit of caring and compassion goes a long way. more

Not so impressed 2/4/2011

We called to get price quotes. They were a little high. We said never mind we'll go to Benefield because the first visit there is free. They said that in that case they would waive the first visit office fee. We got there, got the service, went to pay out and the price was the full price. We said, wait a minute, we were told the first visit was free. They said, Yes I see that in your account record, but unfortunately its against our policy and we dont do that... By my counts this is illegal to quote one price and charge you another once service is done. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else unless the phone quoted price means nothing to you, just like it meant nothing to them. more

Dr Betts 8/31/2010

I had been taking my 2 cats to Dr Betts at Mill Creek Veterinary hospital for several years and thought he was ok, not great but sufficient. This was until my 11 year cat Lizzy became sick with pancreatitis. I had two options, to put a feeding tube in her or have her put to sleep. Number one, putting a feeding tube in your animal is not a quality of life. However, what was upsetting was how my Lizzy was put to sleep. This was a couple years ago, but is still haunts me. When I took Lizzy in to be put down, first they wouldn't let me hold her. She had to lay on a cold table. She was already afraid from the car ride and being at the veterinary clinic. Then when Dr. Betts injected her she lurched up in pain, then fell back down to her death. Apparently Dr. Betts did not give her a sedative first. If you love your animals do not take them to Mill Creek Veterinary Hospital. more

Great vet 6/30/2007

We've been going to Mill Creek Vet for a little under a year now, and really like it. It's not generally very busy, and we've never had to wait very long for an appointment. The staff there are also very polite, and Dr. Betts is great with our dog (who's always nervous to go in and get shots, etc.). They're more expensive than our previous vet, but charges seem reasonable, and some things make up for it, like great deals on flea medication. Generally, we've had all good experiences with Mill Creek, and plan to continue to use them for all of our veterinary needs. Pros: Close to home (for us), no long waits Cons: Not cheap more
