What is wrong with you? Just because they might be of Mexican or what ever ethnic descent does not mean that they are illegal or not able to make American food well. I have had some of the best burgers of my life in other countries. All of those individuals may be citizens, you have no way of knowing so grow up. It is people like you that make me embarrassed for this country. You want to support local? Start WAY local, with your brain, it needs an overhaul. more

I've heard from quite a few people lately that Mike's quality has gone down. (The milshakes are still yummy as ever though!) \r \r One reviewer wondered why. I'll tell you why.. . .\r \r Instead of hiring the locals as has been done in the past, there are Mexicans (are they legal?) doing the cooking. What the heck do they know about burgers and fries?! What happened? Mikes has ALWAYS been exceptional .... until last night. It was 10:30 pm, a large order ($60), & we've been going to Mikes for several years so we knew we could count on quality... until last night. All of our burgers were well over done to the point of being burnt crisp around the edges. What happened? They were closed by the time we got home & started eating. What a shame. Mikes has never let us down like this before...... until last night. more

Today 2/3/11, I ordered 3 cheesburgers and one patty melt. They patty melt 's bread was soaked all the way through with toasting agent thet I threw most bread away and ate only the meat patty. Other than that I have had nothing to complain about in all the years of eating there and other mikes.\r \r \r granmaid more

We went to Mike's in Oregon City, I understand they have 3 locations. The staff was friendly, the menu and atmosphere was like the 60's, there was lots of choices on the menu, they had real milkshakes and if you order a strawberry milkshake for example, they make it with fresh strawberries. The food was fresh,it was served hot and it was good and we had polite young adults (teenagers) with smiles serving us. Very neat place, our kids enjoyed it too. \r Thanks Mike or whom ever it is that owns this place.. you are doing a great Job with your food, service and your staff ! Pros: food and polite staff more

In Mike's Drive In's defense - I worked there for a little over a year. They are slow because the food is not cooked until the order is placed. Don't know about anybody else, but that's a good thing. I don't want food that was sitting on the warmer just waiting to get sold. \r I love that they use Tillamook cheese!! \r With most people - after they have worked at a food establishment for so long they NEVER want to eat their food again. Not the case with me! I keep going back. YUMMY stuff! Just ask the local radio stations! :)\r Pros: Great food and shakes! Made to order! Friendly people. After the milkshakes it's all down hill. Food seems to be thrown together without presentation. If you don't have coupon it's pricey and with a coupon it can be $20.00 for two. It seems the place has gone down hill in the past 20 years. more

Yes the price can be alittle much. But they have some custom burgers there that is just mouth watering. Everytime i come home to Oregon it is one my must eat places. Along with Super Burrito express. and Cafe du Berry. The Shakes are famous there and they are made with natural fruit. How do i know this? My grandparents used to sell all there raseberrys and blackberrys to mikes. Anyway i would rate this place as excellent. If you want your food quicker order over the phone and pick ur food up. I would suggest mostly take out the restruant is not much for sitting down there are picknic benches outside but its just not a sit down place. The one thing I've noticed is that some of the employees are a bit surly and bitter, but the shakes are famous and the food is good. The one downside is that it is VERY pricy, so unless you come across those coupons they send out, you're in for an $8 meal for a regular burger, fries, and a coke. It also tends to be a long wait, so unless you've got time to spend, I wouldn't expect ""fast"" food. I waited for close to 20 minutes once for a simple burger and fries with only 2 people ahead of me. \r \r But if you're looking for good food that you're willing to shell out some dough for, this a great place to go.
